EGBDF has remained a favor it for over 50 years. I still remember walking into Record Factory in Corte Madera, CA all those years back and seeing the wall display of new releases. I was drawn to this cover immediately and overjoyed to find out it was a new release by the Moodies. Arguably their pinnacle.
This has always been one of my favorite songs by the Moody Blues. I first bought Every Good Boy album in 1981 10 years after it was relessed. When I first heard Emily's Song I was blown away by the gorgeus melody and words. Plus the harmonies of Lodge and Hayward were so beautiful I thought it was angels singing. I must have played that song 100 times the first night I had the record.
wow - each of these songs - The Day We Meet Again (Octave); One Lonely Room (Songwriter solo LP); Out and In (To Our Children's Children's Children with Mike Pinder RIP); In My World (Long Distance Voyager); Meanwhile (Long Distance Voyager); Voices in the Sky (In Search of the Lost Chord); - deserve the full treatment - but i will take whatever JH wants to do 🙂
El gran maestro con su gran banda y la excelentísima voz de Pj Olsson aún muy guapo.. Qué Dios los conserve por mucho, mucho tiempo.Les mando todo mi amor y bendiciones de México.
This is awesome. Made me tear up a bit! It's also cool that Emily's husband, Jon Davison of Yes, is performing and singing with him! Thank you for sharing this!
I started thinking of an alternative medley. 1. Send me no wine 2. Watching and waiting 3. Troubadour 4. Dawning is the day 5. Penumbra Moon 6. Don't need a reindeer 7. Running water 8. In the beginning (from Spirits) 9. Never blame the rainbows 10. The best is yet to come
Wonderful to hear. Just took my 16 year old Daughter to see them in Orlando, FL (I'm 73). She found the Moodies on her own so was really rewarding for both of us! Hope the same for you.
I agree. An Angel Warrior to be sure! Maybe a knight sometime in the future! Just so glad he recovered his voice for the Cruise! Exceptional recording thanks so much!
Nothing can describe the feeling of hearing the Moodies live! I've been lucky to have seen them 5 times in my 69 years. John and Justin were the best thing to happen to Mike, Graham and Ray the day they became part of the Moodies. RIP Ray and Graham.
