Actually just to practice it’s usual during training to do practice approaches without an actual landing. Landing training is not part of this phase of training :)
hi, nice videos :) but why do you do an autoland if you see the runway? i reflew your approach on xPlane in real LVO conditions. :) looking forward too see new videos. Happy landings
Thanks for your comment :) IRL it is not really up to us who decides which approach we fly. The ATC decides it based on actual conditions and broadcasts the information on the ATIS. In this case they put LVP (Low Visibility Procedures) in force based on the very low RVR in the Rollout and Taxi area. As soon as an Airport is in LVP we have to fly a higher than CAT I APP (So CAT II or III) which always means an Autoland in the company I fly for. Also keep in mind that these kind of weather conditions can change within minutes so even if we were lucky and could see the first half of the runway it could have looked very different just minutes before ;)
@@hectopascal When allowing this in SOP, how do you handle that no ground personal checks for good engine start of the second motor (no leakage). Do you just cross your fingers? Are there any restrictions on when single engine taxi out is allowed? Thinking it could be restricted under certain conditions to keep focus, not having to monitor engine start while busy taxiing.
Waw… I can’t really describe the beauty of the video. Well done for the shot and the edit! This type of edit and video help me to stay 100% motivate about my dream! very great work mate ;)
