@steve36207 Yes, they are all great games. The C64 was my very first system, and the original Sub Hunt was one of my favs. The reworked version is a stunner. I went to ZZAP Live last weekend, and it was amazing to see so many C64s and Amiga's in one place. Will be giving your latest challenge a go today. 🕹👍
baz was a good guy , used to to glasgow barras with him and pick up pirate games , he done a c64 cassette with loads of cool tunes , think i still have it someware

LOTUS TURBO CHALLENGE 2 will always remain one of the best car racing games ever made for the Commodore 64 and Amiga 😺👍🕹️. It deserves a big retrospective like 👍🕹️ from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮 - just like your channel, too 😸😺👍🕹️.
Fantastic Dizzy was a great tribute to past games and brill way of saying goodbye to the Amiga. Wish they would make a game in that style for the Switch.
My time with the Amiga was quite short but very sweet back in the day and with the exception of Indy & Lamborghini I had all these and agree they're all great. Lotus 1 is one of my all time favourite games and still spectacular to this day👍

MOUSE TRAP is the first platformer game, i have ever played on my friend's Amiga 500 as a little boy back in the late 1980's. I also had it many years after that in a compilation called MEGA PACK from Tynesoft for my Amiga 500. Although it was hard and frustrating 😹, it is still a brilliant classic game 😺👍🕹️. WIZ 'N' LIZ is a brilliant game 😺👍🕹️. For two players at the same time, it is much more fun 😺👍🕹️🕹️. MYTH - HISTORY IN THE MAKING inspired me to grab into my pens 🖋️🖊️✏️🖍️ and practice for drawing my own art works 😺👍. The Amiga version of this game may be awesome, but the Commodore 64 version of this game is a legendary classic 😺👍🕹️. GHOSTS 'N GOBLINS may be hard and frustrating 😹, but it still deserves a legendary cult status 😺👍🕹️.
I see what is happening here, this guy is walking down what looks like a respectable Street and kicking random people in the head with the limitations of a single fire button. The A500 did have the ability to use two button input yet most games didn't make use of it. (If you used a master system joy pad on Alien Breed the 2nd button would open computer consoles on the level without having to press the keyboard)
@mattsmedley.onehandedgamin9029 yes unfortunately the Amiga was limited to one fire with most games. I use a Monster Joystick, which helps with a second button for jump action. It can be used as a secondary button for other actions if the game supports it. 🕹👍
it's a pity so many of these vertical shooters were ported directly from the Atari ST and were running at only 25fps - or less. 50fps is pretty much the standard frame rate for shooters - as demonstrated in Hybris, Battle Squadron and Banshee - games that were designed exclusively for the Amiga. Note: the job done on Flying Shark is so egregious that some one has taken the trouble to fix it - rewriting the code to take advantage of the Amiga's hardware. The improvement is stunning - it's like Night and Day - and demonstrates exactly how badly served Amiga owners were by so many direct ports from the ST (I mean no disrespect to the Atari ST - but the Amiga is just a different machine). Yes, unfortunately, in the Amiga early days, most of the games were ported from the ST. I was so glad when they started creating games on the Amiga, and it certainly shows a massive difference. Hybris and Battle Squadron certainly shows what can be done. Thank you for the link for Flying Shark. I will check it out.👍🕹
Thank you for bringing us back to the rediscovery of these games that accompanied our adolescence. I remember that in those years, there were many attempts to simulate a football match, and when it came close to a significant event, such as a World Cup; a European championship, or even the start of the Serie A championship, these attempts multiplied. However, despite the efforts of the many programmers who attempted to reproduce the game of football as faithfully as possible, almost none of them succeeded in the task. Today we remember the famous...Kick Off...Sensibile Soccer...Goal! Etc... They were all the rage at the time, but even back then you could never get a game that really made you feel like you were on a football pitch. Even today it is a very difficult undertaking, therefore it was even more difficult at the time. You really had to be satisfied, or you would get a quick game, but to the detriment of realism, this was the case of football games in which you managed to score with just one player, starting like a missile from midfield, and going on to score almost undisturbed, with goalkeeper who completed the job by always diving awkwardly. Or there were games where ball control was something only an extraterrestrial could do, but in all games of the Amiga era, the common flaw was that the other members of your team seemed completely unfamiliar with your maneuver . I could mention quite a few "oddities" for every game that came out at the time... but that would be too boring...
Thanks for uploading. Kick Off 2 was my favourite. Great playability and I remember competing with my mate to see who could commit more fouls and get more red cards.
Lollypop is "AGA only"? Hmmm, it's listed on several Amiga sites as an OCS/ECS game - and looks it. User reviews all mention that they played it on OCS. One of the main complaints is that there ISN'T an AGA version. The plot thickens...
I was playing a amazing game on Amiga 500 - You were a sorcery, going through old castle, taking potions, and You can have fiend dog/wolf (I think that it was 2-nd player), and You can have buch of bats - that was helping You to kill enemies... Has anybody remember name of this game ?
@@garygillgaming Unfortunately no... Only this mag, dog and sometimes bats and help, typical platform game, and I think there was switches and gates... I spent lot of hours playing it with my friend...
The ones that I vividly remember playing are: Titus The Fox Brian The Lion Zool series Arabian Nights Second Samurai And, not sure if this counts, but Sleepwalker was one of my all time faves!
