I do it because I can be smoother than the quickshifter if I try or have been riding this bike more than my gixxer. With the quickshifter you always feel it kinda skip over neutral. Now that it's tuned it's even smoother when I manual shift correctly
Yeah lol I know exactly what you’re talking about and that’s gone. It’s super smooth now through all gears. It’s so good. This bike benefits quite a bit from a tune
Yeah check engine for 20 miles, I think? and two key cycles? I can’t remember but it actually went away in the very beginning of this vid. I cut it and did a second start. I knew it would clear when I did the second key cycle so I figured why not. Cruise control still works
@mxatoms interesting so basically you have to cycle 2 times off and on to make it go away? Is it with every mt09 or just yours in this case. Sounds like youve known this would happen from a certain forum or thread
Your bike is really cool, I have an MT 09 too, but here in Brazil we still have old models, and it takes a long time for bikes to be updated. It's the fault of our corrupt government that charges exorbitant taxes from the population!👍🏻🇧🇷🚀🏍️
I don't have the CB650R anymore. What would you like to know? Maybe I can answer here. I can tell you that the CB650R is harder to mod and you really really have to twist the throttle to get it to go. It definitely needed a tune. I loved the sound of the inline 4 but it was definitely lacking in power delivery. If you are a beginner it's a good bike. Otherwise I probably wouldn't buy it especially now that the look changed with '24 models.
Thanks, mate! It’s had some updates but haven’t finished editing the newest vid yet. I like the comfort seat much more than the standard now after breaking it in. Worth it!
@@mxatoms exciting stuff! I’m looking at exhausts at the moment, have you looked at any yet? Any suggestions? Also, I find the standard seat to be pushing me into the tank, as if it slopes down. Did you find that as well? If so, did the comfort seat fix that? Cheers.
@JamesBond-ph6hr I’ve had the bike tuned and have installed the Akra race line. Some don't like the look of it because they prefer the ones tucked under but the shorter the exhaust the louder it will be. The Akra is plenty loud and I couldn't imagine something louder. I even have the db killer still in. If you must go shorter, I'd recommend either Mivv or Kelpi. I don't find that the seat pushes me into the tank honestly so couldn't say if the comfort seat helped or not. I do notice that this particular bike really makes you grab onto the tank with your knees and I personally like that.
@@mxatoms that’s awesome. I’m also considering the akra race line. I like the looks and the sound. I know the shorter pipes get more pops on decel. Do you get any pops on decel with the akra? I’m a sucker for a nice popping exhaust lol
Definitely someone not paying attention at 9:03 time of video, not seeing you and pulling out so slow. Would of done same thing as you hopefully wakes them up a bit. Stay safe and keep making them videos!
Hello fellow rider. Good video, love that you didn't talk much and let the bike sing for us. Just got my '24 MT-09 on June 13th. Mine is the the ALL BLACK VERSION. I wanted the Midnight cyan version but got tired of waiting for the dealership to get that one in. They had it in all black so I decided to pull the trigger and just get it. It's only a color difference. The bike is AMAZING AND FUN AS HELL. 560 miles so far almost due for 1st service. Then, I get to rip it. However and whenever I want. Good luck brother. Ride Safe, be safe & ride on.
Awesome bike! Could you link in description where you got the grips, mirrors, and seat? Really digging the new seat definitely adds a nice touch to the already sweet bike.
hi, hello, and congratulations on the beautiful machine,. I'm also on the waiting list for this model, which according to the store manager, there are logistical problems and the delivery of this new model, gen4, has been delayed. of the mt 09, and one of the extras that I like, mainly for aesthetics, is the comfort seat, it gives the bike a more premium lock,.. I will also put the small aluminum visor on the front, in fact there are 2 pieces,.. I have the mt 07, which will be delivered, in exchange for this new 09,..and I hope it behaves as well as the 07,..I would be satisfied,..and of course the 09 is a much better bike in almost everything,.. It's going to be a big impact difference I assume,...,. happiness and congratulations,.. good curves!!
Got the same bike just a few weeks ago and I love it. Still feels a bit surreal tho... Is there a reason why u don't use the QS between 1st & 2nd gear?
I’m smoother than the QS going from 1st to 2nd :) maybe not as apparent in this video but I’ve gotten way more used to this bike now. Enjoy it and stay safe, mate!
It’s marginally better than the stock one. If you can hold out for Corbin, that’ll prob be better but I couldn’t wait. Comfort seat has to be broken in so it’s better than it was at first :)
Congratulations with the new bike! I have the same one in tech black. I am curious how is the comfort seat? Is it worth the money? Cus I already did a long day of driving and at the end of the day my ass was sore! Enjoy the bike and hope you have a lot of safe miles! 😁
Thanks, mate! You as well, be safe out there!🫶 I don’t regret buying the comfort seat. It’s def more comfortable than stock. Worth the money, though…eh maybe. I had to break it in so I’d say yes now but Corbin will prob release one and will likely be better.
sup man, absolutely awesome bike. iv had gen 3, and just bought the new mt09 2024. i still have to wait couple weeks for it to arrive. In my opinion gen 4 mt09 is the coolest looking naked bike you can buy. thats why i had to update. safe rides bro! Edit. if you or anyone else have any questions about mt09, just comment and i'll answer. ive had r3, mt07, mt09, real Yammie fanboi
@@13x13x0 Hi mate! ~5600 -> onwards is sweet, but it has so much torque (ridemode 1) that it will pull on any gear little bit, no matter RPMs. Top pull is around 7000 imo, honestly feels like the bike is trying to rip your arms XD. The dash will also turn into green when the bike thinks its go time (around 5000), but in my experience you gotta rev just a little bit higher to get the sweet stuff (+5500) Also, me and many others feel that gen3 has more low end torque, while gen4 is more top end. I dont know if this is true but thats how it feels.
Around 5k RPM in any gear but 2nd gear. 2nd gear was neutered due to Euro market. With a tune this can be fixed. If you have the throttle open around that RPM and use the quickshifter to go from 2nd to 3rd, you better hold on lol
It grew on me quickly, love it just as much as my gixxer now. Haven’t had an older one but sat on one and didn’t like how wide the seat felt or how much more upright it was. Gen4 is a really good middle ground between older gen and sport bike
