Can you also explain if I c fish and lure at 15.8 FT but, for example, fish on the left side and lure on the right side, how do I know on the screen how far apart are both?
Great Video and another question.... When in Forward Mode - I see a target, Stump, rock, brush pile etc.. - I place a cursor on it and press the Way Point button, (Like I do with side scan) but it only creates a W.P. icon on the boats position, not the target. - What am I doing wrong? --- Bow Unit Lowrance HDS9 Live, Point One in the back of the boat, On the bow I only use the Point 1 for my heading sensor and the position of the boat using the Bow units internal GPS. Motor is a Minn Kota 24v, 80 lb Thrust. (console HDS9 Live uses Point 1 for all) Thank You.
Great explanation. Can I ask about your dual AT ducer set up. Do you have any issues with the 2 interfering with each other? I really like this idea of having scout and forward at the same time. Now that you've run it this way what are your thoughts? Thanks Russ
Its been cool - just finished 8th in a BFL of 126 boats last weekend and used anchor lock on ghost and livesight on the HDS units to catch just about every one of my fish, co angler was amazed to see it go down!
@@raymondjonesfishingcom howd you do on kerr? I saw your boat there. It was tough. Caught a few finished like 37th. Im 15th in points overall tho so far. My boater had livesight as well, I was watching with him. Crazy, we could see the fish, line up, and cast right to them. We both caught some because of that. Awesome!!
Great video. Like you I see no future in the discussion on who is the better motor. Might add a thought tho. Their are to maintenance items that I always did on my motors. Several times per season I would check the lower unit oil for water contamination and I would remove the prop to check for line wrapped around the prop shaft. Both take less than ten minutes. My learning curve costed me a $1700.00 lower unit repair in the early nineties. Just a thought. Great channel!
You should use bigger electronics in front of the steering wheel... You can still almost see to drive the boat. Maybe just hang a 65" LCD monitor there... I mean... Who needs visibility at 70mph on water.
