Love the fact that she said that the character of Norma was not a role she ever dreamed of playing when wanting to be on the stage. God works in mysterious ways and she's won an Olivier award for the role. Nicole is such a fantastic singer how she didn't make it as a solo singer is beyond me as she has such a powerful voice. She recorded a version of Just Say Yes by Snow Patrols Gary Lightbody but Snow Patrol released it as their own. Shame she didn't release hers as it sounds so beautiful and completely different from their version. Don't Hold Your Breath is definitely her best song. Love that song.
Every interview, every thank you speech, Paul delivers. Such quality. I do believe the actors who do theatre bring an extra quality to their screen work.
Cannot wait to see you all on stage soon. Do not know why this one just chokes me up more than most. Great writing and awesome storytelling and performance, Sam. :)
"...bit of a stagehound myself..." WOOF! Viva Tim! Timmy Forever! Wait. How do I spell your surname sorry I get overwhelmed by my own enthusiasm (Bradley: RING. FINGER. ?THE HDOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS IS WRONG WITH YOU?!)
No…. It’s not the real thing… Don’t get me wrong: it’s still amazing and beautiful and fantastic… But it doesn’t touch my soul like the original version does… That one makes me cry like a baby every single time…!
Have just seen it. Dónal Finn is such an exceptional talented Orpheus. The entire cast was fantastic. Absolute quality performance but for an advanced audience. This might be too complex for some.
Love it . Her voice is stunning and obviously she must have been superb in this role to win this prestigious award . Hopefully she can add a Tony award sometime in the future . Only a matter of time
Wherever you see parts of this show on youtube, the comments section is full of Mormons (almost all of whom are strangely keen to tell us how much they like it), but there's no reaction from Ugandans. What do Ugandans think about it?
Love that they took the risk to change the choreography for this number. Don’t know their names but whoever that black guy is, playing Andy Lee (the choreographer), is super talented. Been seeing him in West End productions since he was in the ensemble as one of the sailors for the 2021 Barbican production of Anything Goes. Nice to see him moving up the ranks. And the black girl who played Hope Harcourt in that Anything Goes production is Peggy Sawyer here in 42nd Street.
I saw this in Manchester and its one of those plays that left me in deep thought - like wow! What have I just experienced. I was totally submerged into the magic, emotion and the beauty of the story and the characters. I would love to go and see it again in Manchester. I had read the book beforehand which I do think helped. I love the stories by Sophie Anderson.
