I have a set of these cards I want them in 96 and they are the six metal cards but the one with him his face smiling my card is gold completely gold on one side and it's numbered 1/2300. Has anyone ever seen another gold card I was told it was a one-on-one because it's the first one of the set do you know if it's true
@emmabaker8216 That's pretty cool. I have not seen any like you've described. It's possible it is the first numbered card in the sequence, or Upper Deck may have numbered all of them 1/2300 to signify it is one of 2300. In either case, I would not consider it a one of one. A one of one card is numbered 1/1 or One of One. Some people like to get cute and term cards like that an "eBay one of one"; but it isn't a true one of one card. More commonly, the 1/2300 and 2300/2300 cards are referred to as "bookends" because they would represent the first and last card in the sequence. Additionally, a card numbered 23/2300 would be referred to a "jersey match" number since MJ wore 23. The bookend and jersey match numbered cards are typically valued slightly more than other numbers in the sequence of numbered cards. Hope this helps!
Me too! For some reason I don't see all comments that come through, on my phone. I don't see some until I get on my laptop. Thanks for checking out the video!
@godisgreat8462 Been here just doing what makes me smile! Wow - 3,500 is a crazy number...congrats on your collection! It's crazy that RU-vid does stuff like that. Thanks for checking out the video!
Sorry for the delayed response. For some reason, I don't see all the comments from my phone. Only when I get on my laptop. I'm glad you watched the video!
Topps was selling them on their website. The Topps Now cards are only available for a short period of time, like a few days. If you're looking to purchase a card, there are plenty for sale on eBay.
@@GabeFelix-r3p probably not all of them. Originally, they were beautiful. But over the years, they’ve been moved from case to case, in and out of sleeves and now there are probably 25% (max) that are still “mint”. Which is why they are all the more valuable in their original shipped condition. Cards from this era are overlooked and undervalued, because of their availability/condition, relative to modern print runs and parallels. Buy em all, if they’re cheap and untouched! (Imo)
@@GabeFelix-r3p No. Even ones that spent their entire life in the original mag case. Depending on how they were stored or shipped, the surface could have spent some time rubbing against the holder, creating scuffs and scratches on the refractor finish.
Nice! That’s such a sweet way to get an Ohtani rookie card. I bought two of these team sets a couple years ago - just so I could open one and leave the other boxes! Haha love that card.
If it has a sheen on it, it's generally safe; plus the water mister doesn't spray that much water - unless you mist for an excessive amount of time. Thanks for checking out the video!
