My friend.... CHRIST cannot cheat or didn't fall into temptation and then got a 2nd chance from GOD. Then he would not be fit to pay the price because HE HIMSELF would be a sinner. Not to mention, rhe earth is a stage witnessed by billions of angels and heavenly beings... So how could CHRIST cheat. Its just that the human imagination is infinitely warped
He locks his car after getting his gun. Its as if he still had not decided to shoot himself until the time he pulled the trigger killing his wife and another man. It literally came up as a spontaneous decision in the moment.
I felt bad for Little Bill. Sure, the guy was a loser socially however, he was exceptionally good at his craft, and truly gave it 110% in making those films.
The way this film CONSTANTLY shows us characters who are just plain mediocre, and who find success in porno because it's ALL mediocre in every way, and then they all eventually have to deal with their own mediocrity.... it's an absolute tour de force in storytelling.
One thing people don't, or won't, understamd is the film explores Jesus' human side. Jesus was a man after all. The film explores the battle between the spirtual side and the physical side
People act like it’s weird he locked the car but he was on autopilot and muscle memory kicked in. Was he supposed to stop and go “wait a minute, I’m about to commit murder-suicide, I don’t need to lock it” ?
He should’ve took pics and call the cops to witness what he seen then sue the shit out of his wife. Instead he committed suicide and I bet went straight to hell for murdering his wife and two guys.
Two thoughts about his locking the car door: 1) It, coupled with how gingerly he put the cup on the car door (as opposed to just throwing it down) reiterate that he's a tender guy who is thoughtful and attentive to what he has...making his wife's actions all the more cruel. 2) Much like whatever was in the car, his heartache is locked away in the moment. He dies with contents locked away.
I see, so everything after the cross was Jesus' last temptation and in the end he snaps back to being on the cross realizing he is dying, he realizes he has won. We dont see the resurrection but jesus saw paul while on the cross and saw paul preaching after this event our Lord is currently undergoing (crucifixion) in the movie. Indeed seems blasphemous but i think i understand the vision of this movie now and just wow very powerful but does borrow from outside of cannon but super deep honestly.
