I remember a time when Service Academies were the epitome of marching perfection. It seems as DEI hiring has gone up, marching perfection has gone down. And marching is not complicated. If you can't get that right, you don't deserve a vote of confidence.
The stupidity and disrespect in the comments gives me a whole new level of respect for these midshipmen. They’re defending the very constitution that protects the disrespectful speech towards them and the Academy.
As a boy I think 7 - 9 years old. My father was an instructor at the Naval Academy. He would take us to watch these formations from time to time. But now at age 54. Watching this is wonderful.
The changes I see are the presence of eyeglasses and the presence of females! *s/ USNA Class of 1965 - Former Enlisted Man - 24 Year Retired US Navy Submariner*
@@SaltiDawg2008 I mean glasses tho? Do you think thats a problem or not? What im worried about is the amount of woman i mean women can be strong sure... Women can be better than men sure. However in 99.9% of the cases thats not happening. I mean even when they lower the standards to let more women in they are failing... I think it was around 60% of them who failed (with lower standards) while only around 10% of the men failed...
