@@rkcmc I didn't make it there after. I drove to Snowdonia, 4 hours. I camped on the lake at Cadair Idris, beautiful weather and a great hike. Highly recommended it. The next day I went to Aber Falls. I did the videos separately. Later in the year for me now with Scafell Pike. I'll get there😁
It was! I’m so glad that he decided to come, he wanted to try it out and I think he was so glad he did. Thanks for taking the time to comment and watch the video, sorry about the really slow response 🙈
Thought we'd pop over and say hi, thanks for visiting our channel earlier! Wow, amazing hike bagging some Wainwrights, cool stuff! We had to touch all those cairns too, just to be sure! Cheers, Simon
Cheers for coming over and checking out some of my content. I couldn't believe it at the top of Illgill Head how long it took me to find what I thought was the top, I'm still not sure which of those many cairns was actually the summit!
Thanks, I’m really enjoying getting out more and the fact that my content is getting noticed is amazing! I can’t believe it’s made it’s way to NZ now. All the best and thank you for subscribing.
Vango make so pretty amazing rents for the price. I’m so happy with my Nevis 100 and don’t think I’ll be rushing to replace it anytime soon, does everything I need it too. All the best Aiden.
Sorry to hear this. Is there anything in particular that was Making it hard for you to hear the voice? Was it the wind noise, music or just my general talking being to quite? Not sure if anyone else has experienced this but once again I’m sorry it’s affected your viewing experience. Thank you for taking the time though to comment and let me know that you’ve struggled with the sound. It’s a learning curve for me so hopefully next video will be better 😊
The Clag was insane that day. Think I’ll have to do Scafell Pile again because I was gutted that I didn’t get any good views but I suppose that’s the luck of the draw. All the best Aiden
Hi bud first time on the channel. Brilliant stuff with the solo camp. We did a camp up here 2 weeks ago, epic place. Good luck with your channel. ATB 🏔 (subbed)
Thanks mate, it’s always nice to hear about other people’s adventures aswell. I’ll check your channel out and if you’ve uploaded a video of your camp I’ll give it a watch!
Thank you for taking the time to check out my video! I personally love the Nevis and think for the money it’s a good little tent. I’ve never actually checked out the Cairngorm but I’ll give it a look, maybe I’ll be regretting the decision to not buy it first aswell 😂. The pitching spot was amazing it was like something from a movie! I had an amazing time. Cheers Aiden
Great vid bud well done. I would invest in a water filter we get enough of it in the lake district haha, I use a Sawyer MINI and have had no trouble drinking any of the water in the lakes, plus for every liter of water it s a kilogram of weight off the knees
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed it! I completely agree since this trip every KG I can shave off would’ve been helpful. Also thank you for the recommendation of make of water filter (it’s an area that I’m not massively familiar with) I’m going to look to get one for my next wild camp!
Well done mate ... though next time don't carry water with you when you have a plentiful supply next to you all the way up.. a LTR of water is approximately 1kilo.. get a water filter or use the fast flowing water and boil it... whatever you didn't use on the camp don't take again.. good luck stay safe.
Thank you for the advice, it seems a bit silly that I didn’t consider with the Tarn nearby and all the flowing streams that a water filter or boiling water was an option 😂 I think I’ll definitely invest in one for my next wild camp. Every KG off helps! 👍🏻
@@rkcmc I have used the sawyer mini filter for a few yrs now, it was cheap and effective, though a little slow.. it fits a bottle of water you can buy called "actiph " , this stops you having to use the annoying little bags that comes with the filter... now iam moving on to the beefree 1 LTR filter. It's much quicker and comes with its own flexi 1ltr bottle but costs about £50 odd ..
Really nice trip you had there, good one! Nice filming as well. I completely agree with your arguing about the stove - the "better budget" segment really is to appreciate.
Thank you, I really enjoyed the trip and doing it solo was even better than I’d imagined. The budget stove was amazing it did everything that the more expensive one does but for half the price!
Thank you for your nice comment! Im so glad I just went and did it I was debating it for a while but now I’ve done one I’m definitely hooked! Can’t wait for the next!
Thanks 👍🏻 I massively underestimated how far and steep the gradient of the climb out of Seathwaite was (especially with all that weight on my back) The pitch, spot and location were amazing, already can’t wait for my next wild camp! Thanks for checking out my video.
I've just read Mark's comment and never knew the F sounds like V, I know myself for next time! Really enjoyed the video, looks a nice route up the dragon's back way especially with the castle. Next time I'm down that way, I'll have to check it out 😄
The welsh pronunciation gets me every time but I'm always grateful when someone corrects me! Defiantly give the route ago the Dragons back had some lovely views and the castle is a nice bit of history to explore. Really appreciate you taking the time to check out my video!
Good going - a nice little detour to the castle to ponder history and to look at the task ahead. It's a steep one in places for sure. You had a good day for it with views of the central Beacons emerging. The Welsh language is a funny one but Waun Fach is pronounced 'Wine Vak.' When you see Fach or Fawr the F is always nearly a V. So Vak and Vower there. Well, great stuff. I need to get bac k up there myself. All the best. Mark
Thank you for taking the time to check out my video and subscribing! The little detour to the castle was well worth it and seeing little pieces of history like that is just amazing! I definitely struggle with my pronunciation of welsh mountains I'll try to remember that little tip of F sounds like V for my future trips. South Wales is one of the most underrated places to go hill walking in my opinion and when you have weather and views like we did its just honestly breath taking! Thanks again and I'm so chuffed you enjoyed my video.
@@rkcmc Yeah, it was a good video bro. Good to hear of the castle and to hear of your admiration for South Wales - that and Mid Wales are for sure worth exploring. There are some good hikes on my channel if you wanna check the region out. You'll be speaking like a Welshman yet - ha ha! Have a cool week.
Hiya mate what Cam do you use? Nice Video, I also have a MTB Channel & thought we could Subscribe to each other to collaborate & build our RU-vid channels more! If that´s cool please let me know if you´ve Subbed & I´ll return it back, Kind Thanks.
Hi thanks for checking out my videos, glad you enjoyed it. The cam I use is the GoPro 5 session! Collaborating is something I’ve always been super keen on doing, so I’m 100% up for that. I’ll definitely check out your channel and sub to you.
@@rkcmc Great stuff thanks I'll look out for your Sub! I reckon it's GoPro all the way with action Vlogging, so many cheaper versions about, but as I get older I realise one gets what one pays for! Keep MTBing ⛰️🚴♀️🔨
Hey dude! I think that its really cool that you record you bicycling around in Cornwall! The audio is surprisingly good too, minimal wind noises and i can hear your voice clearly! I also uploaded a vlog from my trip to Cornwall today, and i would really appreciate it if you were to check it out! Thanks dude :) I liked your video!
Thank you for your kind words, its nice to hear that there are positives to the video and that people are watching them and enjoying them. Cornwall is a great place and I've really enjoyed my time down in this place full of roads that i thought where only just big enough to be foot paths xD. Of course i will check your videos out and maybe I may learn some things from your Vlog that i didn't know before (I don't know much about Cornwall). Once again thank you for your comment and your time :) I look forward to watching your video.
