this is a true honda, when they were made good, a 20 year old vx gets 50+mpg but a brand new crz gets less than 40 with a hybrid...technology has failed us, bring back old hondas. Had a crx and now a vx hatch
I have a 92 VX to, original engine and Transmission with 267K runs like new, no problem what so ever. I dont get the 49 MPG because I swap the wheels and tires for a heavier ones 15'' just for look and my MPG drops to 36 MPG. I'm planning to put back my OEM VX wheels to get back again to the high end MPG. This are the best engine that Honda could make. I'm waiting to see Honda put bat those engines Vtec-E back to the market, maybe with a little more torque and HP. bye bye Hybrids.
I'm getting a vx next month from my dad (he sold one of my cars when I went to basic training because he thought it was an eye sore and feels bad about it). Has 280k miles on it, runs like new and gets around 47mpg. Can't wait!
92 VX's have the 11.9 gallon tanks, and then Honda swapped to the 10 gallon tank. On mine, I had the 11.9 tank, but I was having fuel issues and found a tank and pump from a salvage yard for nearly nothing and switched them out to see if it would solve the problem. In the process, I unknowingly lost 1.9 gallons of fuel capacity.
