I got the ending in a much different way🤯. I jumped in a hole in the alternate castle (the one with cheery music and yellow walls) and beat bowser in a fortress to get a big star that brought me to the ending
I've been thinking of doing another one, But i think i want to route the stars a bit better and push my personal time to sub hour, i feel like i can do it! I miss the plexus so bad fr tho.... gotta get back on.....
Absolutely excellent video! I love horror, but have been bad at playing it myself, but this speedrun has inspired me to finally make myself play B3313. Plus you seem pretty cool.
im flattered you think so lol :)) its not so scary all the time! There's so much times where its just funny little mario making those goofy noises.. i hope you enjoy playing the hack though!
i was using a star tracker included with parallel launcher when playing the game it included the level names and told me whether i had all the stars there, outside of playing ive done alot of research on level names and what not that ive gotten used to knowing where things are, mostly just wracking my brain to think "how do i get here from here" and what not..
@@mineredgar9225 i had mine open automatically, im honestly not sure what i did different that caused it to display, i know theres a thing on the hack's page if you play it directly form rhdc, you may need to try that
Something else of note concerning malicious coins, sometimes when picking up a yellow coin the game might crash for fun. I *think* you can tell if you see a random silver coin among yellow coins but I don’t really remember.
Ah yeah! i believe its the white coin itself that causes a crash 25% of the time its picked up otherwise just playing the funny boing noise, just for a laugh (and it is indeed quite humorous) theres the new castle labyrinth that consistently spawns the white coin so its easier to test that stuff instead of relying on random spawns :) Thank you for the comment!
The reason for the closed up submarine and the duplicate cool cool mountain star, is that there are two almost identical lobbies Lobby A and Lobby E (I believe the HUD is a bit different), which lead to entire different levels. I believe by warping you can end up randomly in on of both. You can control it by entering the castle through either the left or the right door. Since both level versions contain some fast stars, I think this could be implemented into the run. Also it could help skipping one of the wing cap levels, which feel rather slow.
ive been workin on better routing for sure cutting out one of the wing cap levels, even as im doing em here in my head i was tellin myself how bad it was to do em lmaoo. not sure what one id want to get rid of first they both have a good number of stars Sometimes it feels like i go in the same lobby's submarine and its closed when it should be open, ive always just wrote it off as the game deciding it doesnt like me at the time LOL but its been very consistent when fast travelling from that bowser red star i grab at the start :) I appreciate the insight though, thank you!
happy to hear you enjoyed watching! been trying to find the time to get the gang together and do somethin else for a lil bit now so look forward to hopefully more in the future <33
This was really fun to watch, I thought about seeing how fast I could finish the game myself and just seeing a casual speedrun with your commentary was really cool, I love seeing how different people navigate this hack, how they feel about certain areas and stuff. I guess the route really doesn't go there but on your worry of losing lives, somehow losing your initial two and going to the Vanilla Lobby to get negative lives might have mitigated having to make sure you have enough, especially for the tougher stages, but I don't know if that's too far off the route and would overall waste time. The final sequence is intense! I love that Randomised Realm uses the vanilla Bowser music, all throughout the hack we've heard bizarre remixes of vanilla music or even new ones, so to hear something from the base game has such a finality to it. I thought I was being japed into an unbeatable level with Eternal Fort until I realised the mesh was climbable, and even towards the end, a silver coin spawned from one of the fires from Bowser's attack, so I had to make sure I dodged it along with everything else to avoid crashing lol. Glad to see it's just a challenging stage in general!
It's certainly a really interesting game to route for! I've been working to improve my time for sub hour which im only about 5 minutes off doing now. balancing the rotation of lobbies with the fast travel and going to all the red stars in the lobbies before doing the super far away ones, minimizing the need for fast travelling where possible im really glad you enjoyed this though! It means a ton to me to receive a comment like this fr <33 i love the passion :)
the fake red star in wf.z64 ONLY happens if you are randomly brought to it, i.e. if you enter it through the painting and not by grabbing the fake yellow star. The red star it replaces is one in the plexal basement (The bowser checkerboard room one) so it's not a huge deal
