Thanks! This video came in very handy. I was fixing one of these units for a friend. I took it apart, replaced a badly worn fan bushing, and when I went to put it back together I had forgotten which way it goes in. I caught a glimpse of it in your video and that saved the day.
It did not work on my 1990 f150 (front tank fuel pump). Hooked it up as you described, and it wouldn't run. Followed completely different color matching instructions from a Josh's Garage video, and then it worked perfectly. Maybe some models are different? Glad it worked for you and others, but it wasn't correct for my truck unfortunately.
I don't want to be a nitpicker, but please don't hold bass like that. It can easily kill them shortly after they swim off, because their neckbones are not meant to bend that way from their own weight. Either hold them vertically or use your other hand to support their tail when you hold them horizontal like that.
