Hello! I'm Stephen Ko, filmmaker and founder of SKO FILMS in NJ/NYC. This channel is dedicated to all things film from gear reviews, filmmaking tips and tutorials, video projects, and growing a video production business. Filmmaking is a journey and I want to start documenting the experience so we can all grow together.
This is one of the best, most fun festivals you will ever see in the world!!! I was fortunate enough to have been there for one, and I will never forget how amazing it was!
Beautiful video but they’re not all called “ninots” -only the small ones, up to about 7 feet or 2 meters, are called “ninots” (like the word “niños” or “children”) The big ones are called “fallas” and it’s the fallas that can be up to 5 stories tall.
Imagine telling all of the Mardi Gras people in the USA, Rio de Janeiro or Canary Islands, that their floats all have to be burned on Fat Tuesday. In Valencia it's spectacular what all is handmade, especially the annual, ninots, and very conservatively dressed traditional costumes.
Como fallera, te doy la enhorabuena por el reportaje. Me has emocionado porque estuvimos 3 años sin poder celebrar las Fallas desde que comenzó la pandemia.
Really nice video, lovely edited and using great images, my only criticism in that there can be some confusion on the way you have explained it: the monuments are not called 'ninots', these are the figures. The name of the structure is easy; una Falla. But thank you for this video, I want to use for for my Spanish class
I'm studying abroad in Madrid until June and will be taking a solo adventure to this festival. I was a bit nervous at first, but this video gave me all the motivation to book my ticket of travel!! Thank you for the wonderful overview, this was super informative! Cheers xx
As of today, my wife Tai Yen and I became your subscribers and fans. We like your videos. We found them interesting and fun to watch. You are talented in film making, keep up the good work. As a serious movie lovers and world travelers couple, we will be watching your work’s closely in the future.
Dear Stephen! I’m writing you from Hungary! I’m a TV reporter, and I’m working on a short documentary about Burning Man. As a part of it, I have a narration about the manifestation of the fire in different festivals. Since we don’t have any videos about the event, I’d like to ask for your permission to use images from your video. Naturally - if permission is given - I will indicate the source! Thank you in advance: Rebeka
Beautiful look at South Korea! Love seeing the traditional clothing. So colorful! I loved the cutting between the dancing and martial arts too. Really well done! Thanks for sharing!
this was so incredible!! I went to all the same places as you but your footage captures it beautifully. i wish you more success! I also made a minute video of Vietnam though it's not as great haha! feel free to check it out though:)
Absolutely amazing. I loved all of your cinematography and editing. The music, the field audio - all of it was amazing. I live in Valencia and you captured this festival perfectly!
Another stunning video... love the underwater music effect! Watching your video gives me the buzz that I get when I see these places in person.. and make me want to jump on another plane!
