Hello! Unfortunately, this fixture has been discontinued. As an alternative, we suggest the Pixelstorm 240 - www.blizzardpro.com/products/pixelstorm-240
Hello! There is no factory reset on the console. But, just by tapping the New Show under the Backup screen, this gives you a blank slate to work with. Hope this helps!
What do I need to send from my computer to the vx1000 over fiber? I already have OM3 fiber and some hdmi to fiber converters. Using the hdmi converters works fine for a while and then there is “tear/glitching” then it’ll lock back in for a bit. Obviously this isn’t acceptable for live shows. So how do I connect my computer out to the vx1000 using its fiber connections? TIA!!!
Sadly, the fiber connections are for output only, sorry. FWIW we've had mixed luck with HDMI->Fiber converters regardless of whether or not they're going into a video wall processor. Maybe try something like a BlackMagicDesign HDMI->3G SDI converter instead? Good luck!
Yes, you absolutely can just put the SoC-It into AP mode and connect to its network directly. To do this, tap the XLR tab until the LED turns blue, then press and hold until it is flashing blue, then press and hold one more time to confirm changing the mode to AP mode. After a quick reboot the SoC-It's LED will now be flashing blue and you should be able to find your SoC-It in your phone/tablet's available networks list. Please refer to the the quick start guide for your SoC-It's default network password, keeping in mind that you can also change this password in the config section of At Full once you're connected. Once you're connected to the SoC-It in AP mode, the front LED will turn a solid blue, and it will show up automatically in your Device List/Configuration page of At Full. We don't usually recommend using the AP mode long term, or for permanent installs. Mainly because if you're connected to the SoC-It, that means your device is offline. This means you wont be able to save any of your patches/shows/queues online. Additionally, when connected to an offline network, both iOS and Android have a tendency to try to be helpful and will automatically jump to other networks that it knows are online, or will even use your data plan. You can mitigate this a little by turning off your mobile data while using the SoC-It in AP mode. Lastly, the SoC-It's AP network doesn't have a very strong signal. Using a dedicated router will provide a much strong signal for connecting and staying connected. Depending on your use case, this might not matter, but I just wanted to provide a heads up.
I don't understand - if I'm entering the password for the network my phone is connected to, how can the Socit be on that network without itself knowing the password?
When the SoC-It is in EZ connect mode (front LED flashing green), it is not quite on the network yet. When you enter your network's password into At Full it does a search of any SoC-It devices in the area. This can be via bluetooth, and then a 2.4ghz wireless signal if the bluetooth fails. Once it confirms without a doubt that the SoC-It is actually a SoC-It and not an imposter, it then sends it the password you provided, as well as the SSID of the network you're on directly to the SoC-It. From there, the SoC-it will then attempt to join your network using that SSID and password. If it's successful, the front LED will turn solid green, if it fails to connect to your network, it'll flash yellow for a little bit before trying again.
Thanks for the feedback, but why is that a bummer? Where would you suggest they go? If they were on the bottom, the brackets would need to be around 4" longer, which wouldn't be great, either.
My idea was to use them on poles with clamps , i prefer a clean look . I guess it really depends how it is used. But it would've been cool with the hypno beams for eye candy.
Thanks for the question! The fixture plugs into standard wall power and will work without a DMX controller or with one. Using a DMX controller with it will give you full control over the fixture, but you can still "set it and forget it" without a controller.
Just a suggestion for future- but the DMX out really needs to be next to the power out. I use linking cables that are the same size and it stinks that they don't work on these.
Good thing six flags water Park Indoor install them but sum of the lights stopped working and they just had to remove the led moving head ones before getting scratched sign
@@unerringsalt6325 We don't offer any waterproof moving head fixtures (yet). We do have other waterproof fixtures which may have been installed there and if so, they've been there for about 10 years now.
Hello we have this video controller and the (discontinued) Iris Insite 3.8 panels. The panels are too bright. Can the brightness be adjusted using the video controller?
Hey Scott, yep, absolutely. Push the front panel dial once to enter the menu and you'll see the brightness setting right at the top. Push the knob again to enter the brightness setting adjustment, use the dial to get the brightness where you want it, then press the knob again to store the new setting. Use <ESC> to return to the home screen. That's it!
Would LOVE to see you put these over a reef tank. What an amazing scene that would be. Aveage people spend 1 to 4k on reef tank lights just for their home aquariums - check out the XR30s for example. I advise you take a look at entering the aquarium market with true UV for coral growth and cool factor (the most important). I'll volunteer my tank any day.
It sure can! Once you have your fixtures patched, you can create a "Panel" that will allow you to group whatever channels you want to a single dimmer. The page will show all Common Channels that your fixtures share at the top, but if you scroll down you can select exactly which fixtures and channels you want tied to the dimmer. Or you can set the channels at specific values and then set them to a single button. You can even add a fade to that button for maximum effect with minimal input.
I was looking for some unique lights to add to my show and the moment I saw these ... I just had to have them! So I bought a pair to try out and they arrived today :) Right out of the box they are super cool. Auto and sound active modes are interesting, but I personally can't wait to delve deep into the dmx programming and create some neat pixel mapping! Kudos to blizzard for such an innovative product!
@@blizzardlighting Blizzard uses some of the noisiest fans avaiable. Cheaper isn't better in this case. How much more would it cost to have quiet fans???
@@marvinshomo While "use noisy fan" is not part of our product development process, you're entitled to the opinion. We design fixtures with various specs, sizes & applications in mind so understand they're not perfect for everyone. If you have specific product question, we're happy to answer it; just drop us a note: support@blizzardpro.com
@@marvinshomo Oh boy. Yep, you caught us, when we go fan shopping we think "let's buy the noisiest fans we can find." 🙄 Except nah, we don't. We understand people are annoyed by noisy fans... because we are, too! We try our best to find the quietest fans available for the fixture's required CFM. Beyond that, do you own any HOTBOXes? The fans are variable speed and virtually silent in them, even at full speed. Now, if you have a fixture with a noisy fan, you can--and should--contact support@blizzardpro.com and they'll get it fixed for you!
Hey Thomas, thanks for the feedback. We can't put them on the front for obvious reasons, and putting them on the back means you can never use the fixture without the mounting brackets, or that the mounting brackets would have to be mega long to accommodate the cabling. The endcaps aren't big enough, so the sides are sorta the only place they fit, unless we're missing something. Got any suggestions?
@@thomasheath6029 You can set the fixture directly on the ground on two sides. If we moved the connectors to the bottom, that wouldn't be possible. Guess we're still not sure of the problem you're trying to solve, but there are definitely certain instances where right angle cables could make sense!
Thanks David, we typically make several types of videos such as light shows, first look previews & hands-on demos; so stay tuned for the Keyframe's close-up with one of our product managers!
Maybe a dumb question but do I need to buy one of these for each light or can I just daisy chain them and assign addresses and control each fixture on the app? Thx
Yes, as long as the Art-Net device is on the same network as the device running At Full, and responding to Art-Net poll requests, it should show up in the Device List!
