Hey, new followers and friends! We see you and we appreciate you! 👋
We thought it’s about time we reintroduce ourselves for those who are new around here. We're The Moth Family - Pauline, Jimmy, Liam, and Riley! 👨👩👦👦
A few years ago, we traded in our regular life for one of endless adventure, taking the big leap to become full-time travellers. 🌍 We decided that exploring new cultures, tasting exotic foods, and bonding over shared family experiences was more important than owning the latest gadgets or a big house.
We believe life is about moments, and we're on a mission to collect as many as we can. From jungles and cityscapes, to the cozy corners of a local café, we aim to savour every experience. 🏞🏙☕️
We share our ups, downs, and everything in between, in hopes to inspire other families to break the mold and embrace the unpredictable world of travel. 🎒👣
Here's to adding more pin marks to our travel map! 📍🗺
Australia is a nanny state. The Australian Governments already have too more power over people and Australians are just far too trusting of the government for false security in return for losing more human rights. If Australia was still the land of opportunity it would be still based on human rights instead of a government dictatorship of Simon says. Australia has gone completely insane.
I was homeless, did drugs, went into prison, where I got to know God. He changed my life. Now I have a home, a wife and a lovely year old daughter (Tracey), and a stream of income that gats me $47,000 every month. Plus a new identity - a child of God, Hallelujah!!!🇺🇲❣️♥️❤️
It is the digital market. That's been the secret for the wealth transfer. A lot of folks in the US and abroad are getting so much from it, God has been good to my household Thank you Jesus
No perfect place in the world mate. And to be honest, I don't think you have lived long enough in a third world country to realize that what you call "common sense" is just a byproduct of civilization, and no the other way around. Common sense can manifest and dissappear as fast as it manifested, doesn't matter where.
Could not agree more. I’m holiday in Japan and have also in Korea and I’m from Brisbane. It’s like we live (in Australia) in a nanny state. Too many rules to much Govt making nonsense and pandering to radicals. It’s out of control
The Australian Government is aware that there is lack of housing, and houses take double the time to build. But if you as small developer build a house for sale. You have a load of red tape that add to the costs, then not only do you need to either absorb or charge a 10% GST tax and then you have pay Capital Gains tax if you make a profit. Over taxed, over red tape 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
I have a construction business, I hate hiring anybody in Australia. I’ve seen so many dumb useless people with licences / worthless educations that it stopped being funny 10 years ago. You can forgot common sense it’s never coming back
Lack of common sense is where the country stopped its own citizens from entering or leaving during the COVID pandemic. Or where it allows foreign persons to buy and sell property which makes its own citizens unable to afford one.
I think Oz is a bit of a nanny state at times but on the flipside....if you could just open a food cart on the side of the street bc there was a demand for it (but not within rules/regs), then Australian streets would start looking like ones in Asia. I love visiting Asia but I'm not sure I'd like our streets looking like a makeshift night market.
Where do they look like that in Asia? 99% of places don't have that, and governments tells people where they can and can't serve food. They're just less difficult about it
I don't spend $6 for milk, oh! and the boat I don't have a boat either, work on your budget, glad you made that decision if it work for you, but as an Aussie I could never live anywhere else but Australia. Not sure how your medical bills are over in Asia, but I prefer our health system right here... just saying
Idiotic Marxist Leftist ideology is ruining Australia and the rest of the western world. Common sense, rule of law are out the window in place of feelings, DEI and suicidal "empathy". Labor is left, Greens are far left, Majority of Teals are just wealthier greens who want to run on their own. Liberals tried to be like labor and are failing miserably. There is no balance.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe they have similar policies allowing deductions for property. The only difference is they have significantly more housing per capita than Australia.
The Australia media is far more negative. Look at the front page of any mainstream media website. Find a positive article! Try! It's engineered negativity to make the population passive and cynical.
Wake up, the country is getting worse every year. That doesn't make it worse than south east Asia (it's still better) but people can see where it's headed
I have spent a lot of time in Thailand over the last thirty years and have number has any problems with unregulated 'stuff' and plan to move to Asia ASAP once i get shit sorted out in the land going under. Either Thailand and or Malaysia. I like the idea of being about to build a house without worrying any all the red/green/yellow tape and just get it done Australia is such a nice and beautiful country ruined by thoughtless people
As a Thai thats why it is called developed & developing countries. Developed countries got certain rules and order and regulations to make sure people don't break the law or get punished. In Thailand you can drive 100 kph then got caught and hand 500 baht to the police to put in their pockets. A lot of corruption over there from head to toes. If you want Australia to become like that then turn Australia to become a 3rd world then you can do whatever you want like in Thailand.
Look man you fail to understand there are key easons more SE Asians want to migrate to AU than vice versa. Malaysia is a racist country with the government not wanting Chinese minority to be in power. There is no freedom of speech and there are harsh drug laws including whipping and death penalty. Does that sound common sense to you? Also its so easy to use dollars earned in Australia and take it to SE Asia and live like a king
Forget Kids, I see so many grown Men in Australia who are so bloody useless around the house and even when it comes to simple things like fixing a car. Can’t change a Tyre, Change air filters, oil, spark plugs, basic maintenance. NOT sure how they stay married as long as they do, this lack of common sense then gets passed onto their useless kids.
Just had a dead birch tree removed from my front yard. Unfortunately the council put an environmental overlay on the area where I live so that meant I had to get an Arborist report which costs. It adds another layer of bureaucracy to the problem while the tree is dropping debris onto the footpath in high winds. The neighbouring council allows you to cut problem trees down without a report.
its purely because the govt wipe everyones arse and dont make people think for themselves..the red tape and cotton wool in this country is laughable.....lets take pool fencing for an example, what a joke, the govt says you have to wrap a fence( thousands of dollars!) around your beautiful pool so a kid doesnt drown( even if you dont have kids!! lol), in sth east asia if your kid drowns in your pool its YOUR F@#% FAULT for not supervising your kid, end of story..but in australia we allow for mum and dad to get pissed with friends and not watch their kids...( why isnt it law that every dam in Australia is fenced?? oh because thats ridiculous)🙄.make people accountable!! thats one of a million examples of australians whinging about whats the govt doing?? always looking to blame someone else...and sadly this will never change because there are many people who like to have their arses wiped by govt and told how to live their lives..
If you want to leave, do it soon before the gates are shut. The Australian government needs taxpayers to raise the $40B each year to hand over to the pampered 3%. That's one million dollars multiplied 40,000 times per year. Taxpayers are now second-class citizens. When the gates are shut, you will be slaves.
I remember one tradie that came over to replace a standard sized door knob in my house once. It took him 30 minutes to inspect the door like mate, I can see that it's not working you don't have to waste our time and just quote me a replacement, they're all the same size!
Profit rules over ‘common sense’! Common sense implies consideration for others. There are always individuals who in their own interests will not consider the cost to others. This is happening more often in the desperate world we all now live in. The law is supposed to protect us from this but has unfortunately captured everyone by over regulation. The pendulum spends longer at both extremes than it ever does in the middle ground!
The regulations in Oz are completely ridiculous and just seem to keep getting worse. Years ago ac ouncil area in Melbourne I lived in started allowing food trucks in the area, you think this would be great and they would be able to provide cheap food like they do in other countries. I looked into starting one and it would have cost hundreds of thousands to comply with all the regulations involved, the really ridiculous thing was you needed to have a commercial kitchen somewhere to supply to truck, you couldn't just prepare the food in it, no wonder everything costs so damn much in this country. We've also become a nation of taddle tails, back in the day no one would ever think of reporting their neighbours to the council and if they did they would be hated by everyone, now it's the go to move.
Food trucks in Australia are just part of the overpriced hipster experience for the most part. Pay restaurant prices to eat in paper plates with wood spoons, and bring your own hand wipes etc. There are trucks in food truck parks that cook on-site for sure though.
In Malaysia they are supposed to. Food handlers even have to go for regular typhoid jabs. But they might not always check and enforce when it comes to handling.
No neighbours chickens waking my family up at the crack of dawn, safe playgrounds, safe food, safe beaches, legal right to be gay and no issues with human / s3x trafficking... I think Australia's sounds alright.
When my family migrated to Sydney 55 years ago, there was no Centrelink, there was no Medicare and everyone paid a percentage We have a relatively small population where most of our taxes go towards pensions. Also, the government sold off most things and manufacturing all but vanshed We screwed up as a nation and are paying the consequences as was fed up hearing ppl how they get everything for nothing in Australia and asked how do you suppose as a nation we afford that. The new immigration policies are opposite to when we migrated&had to pay the government back to stay in rat infested migrant compound. You cannot sustain such a reckless system where many are entitled
