You are right and I really appreciated your reaction since you're able to catch the poetic value of this song. So many reactions have been posted by commentators who hadn't even really listened to the song talking all along not checking the lyrics or its meaning. In my opinion lyrics are part of the song as well as its music and both counts although depending on the type of song either part could be predominant. I can tell you for sure for Esc this song would have been performed still in Italian, to keep its poetical flavour but also to maintan its singing value, in fact, because Italian words ends in vowels the singing property is different from other languages (for istance you need more power to sing in Italian vs. English), it's a technical reason for which it's so difficult for many English artists to sing in Italian and they sound so funny when they do it. Anyway thank you for your reaction, very professional.
That's so interesting! I haven't sung much in Italian since I didn't stick to my tries on classical singing (about 25 years ago), so I have no experience with it. But from your comment I see how it is that you often can tell an Italian singer from a Swedish or English speaking one. :)
I totally agree with you. Everyone keeps calling this song a Balkan ballad but as you said it's really not. It's just a ballad or even better a power ballad but what it definitively isn't it's a Balkan ballad.

Yes, I have understood that. There has now been a couple of months since I read up on the politics of Georgia, but from what I remember there are some problems that needs to be solved. Not only to be allowed in to the EU, but all over humanitarian problems. Do you have a different view on that?
We can not be the member of EU as we have not shared border with EU country :) but we can be the member of NATO. NATO officials already claimed, that Georgia has done everything, that was necessary to become the member, but now it is time for NATO countries to decide. USA and all small European countries wants us in this organization, but France, Germany and Italy are against it. We have better humanitarian standards, than some NATO countries already, but the main problem is Russian occupation. NATO does not want to have problems with Russia, but we can solve even this problem, if we say, that 5'th paragraph only defends not occupied territories of Georgia and NATO will not have problem with Russia after that. this is a model of Germany. Germany had also territorial problems, when this country became the member. 5th paragraph only defended the western Germany and after years, Germany was united. this is what we want too :)
I know very little about the politics of NATO, since I am Swedish, and we are not (and so far do not wish to be) members of NATO. But I do know that there has been discussions about EU, and I also know that there are quite a lot of Georgians who seek asylum I Sweden every year, so there obviously are some humanitarian problems.

Sweden is not under threat. but here is different situation. monthly Georgians are under attack by Ossetians and Russians and more and more lands is being occupied. we need to stop this process immediately. that is why we need NATO. yes, here is such economical situation like in Ukraine and many Georgians prefer to leave in another countries in Europe.
