Hi and welcome to my channel! I am a self taught knitter and crocheter, but I'm kind of into anything having to do with fibers! I am also a weaver (the gateway craft drug from knitting and crocheting). We have loads of fun (who wants to take themselves too seriously). I do tutorials, WIP's, loads of unboxing as well as trying to unravel (pun intended) all the fun facts about Knitting and Crochet! I really try to post weekly, and I love to be very engaged with my subscribers...we're all friends here!

I got this last month and it has been a game changer. Due to arthritis I have lost a lot of use in my left hand, being unable to fully bend all but my ring and pinky finger leaving me able to 'crab pinch/hold' with the rest as they don't bend much at all anymore. This tool has allowed me to crochet with out issue as I can crab hold my project with this between my fingers and work away. I would recommend watching the videos from Crochetobe as it makes it clearer how to use it then the booklet does, but I highly recommend if you have any kind of hand mobility issues or yeah, if you are new to the hobby. I'll also say: This product does have negative reviews on it, yet most I saw when I was looking to order mine were from people saying it was 'strange' or 'weird' due to well, being a new thing and they already proficient at doing it the normal way using hand and fingers to control the yarn. Something I find dumb to give something a lower review score because your not used to using something. But once you are used to it it is amazing in how well it works.

I have MS and I have enough problems with just the hook and yarn. I've been crocheting since I was a kid, but when I was diagnosed with MS, and it started affecting my hands, just the slightest of pressure causes the nerves in my fingers and my hands to hurt really bad. I can see how this might help new crocheters and someone who doesn't have nerve pain in the hands and fingers.

What a palaver ! As someone who has crocheted since age ~8 ( almost 60 years now 😱) mostly using a Nr 20 cotton, a 1.25mm hook and never wound the cotton round more than one finger this gadget just makes crocheting look really difficult, would I have to give up my pencil-hold technique?
