I'm sorry that things turned out this way, Jordan. I was very excited for you: anticipating the great opportunities, new experiences, and generally how your journey would have unfolded with this move to Colorado. But the scripture admonishes us to give thanks in all things. You may not have a clear answer to your 'whys' right now, but continue to trust and believe that God is still in control; with time, you fully understand and you will testify again. Stay blessed!

I blame the leaders. Almost all church teach about marriage, and purity sooooo wrong. Some women develop sexual problems because if it. These teaching caused them to actively kill their desires or think negative about their arousal. It is just so sad.

The hope witnessing and testimonies bring!! I too am in a season unemployed, and will be returning to school in the fall (because of the Lord’s leading). It’s going on two months, yet when I look back and see how everything has played out, I know I heard him correctly. I see that somehow, just somehow I still have the means to pay for the things I NEED. I am so grateful for Him. Annnnd also it has been starting to weigh on me. Your encouragement and testimony itself brought me to tears that I didn’t even know were there to release. I will continue to put my hope in Him! Thank you! And congratulations 🎉

I've found that all the hollow, cliché advice everyone tosses around.... "just be yourself" and "just be a decent person" ... only works if one is blessed with magnetism, which is due to looks and/or vibe, wavelength, level of awareness, neurons, pheromones, and all the invisible technicalities. The je ne sais quoi of attraction. I ain't got it either. Those who do, aren't necessarily a "catch". Many of them are toxic train-wrecks with nothing going for them but magnetism.

As someone who has been single for the last 7 years (not counting situationships that never resulted in a relationship) and is now in their late 20s, I feel this video so hard. God Bless you Jordan, thank you for voicing what so many of us who are in this position are thinking and feeling. Its hard to live in a world where marriage and family is glorified by both the secular world and the Christian world while not being able to be apart of it, as if you never will, as if there something about you that makes it so that you dont deserve it and they do, even if youre living for God as best you can while those who arent seem to be getting the lives that you want . It can seem so depressing and unfair. I dont know what the future holds but all we can do is trust God, keep praying, and try our best and not let despair or resentment consume us, because thats exactly what the devil wants.

Hey Jordan, I commented on your last video about this topic and our journeys are almost identical. I'm 26, i've always desired to be in a committed Godly relationship since I was young but it never happened for me. I've never even been in a relationship. I too am a virgin like yourself and navigating the single life as a Christian woman who is advancing in age and has a desire to be married. There's no other way to articulate it other than this; it is tough. I do wish the Church stopped treating singleness as either a terminal disease that needs a cure or pretend it doesn't exist. So much content for the married folk and the single people get neglected. I also wish married people were honest about how they truly felt in their single season. It's like they have selective amnesia because everyone seems to have been so happy and content with the Lord before their spouse; to which I call CAP 🧢 For example, I have a friend who when she was single, she admitted that she was going from church to church looking for a husband and was out on multiple dates to find one. Lo and behold, now that she's married and has a child, her advice to me is to be content and that singleness is a gift. Erm, you sure didn't take your own advice when you were single sis lol. A lot of people just aren't honest enough about singleness and how isolating and lonely it can feel. I know you said in your video that no one can understand you, but as a woman with 95% of my friends who are married with children, I understand you fully. I will say though, where I'm at on my journey, I do appreciate my singleness a lot more. I am fortunate enough to see marriages around me and get insight into what marriage life really is all about. Whilst it is a blessing, there's a lot that goes into it that I don't have to ever think about as a single woman. I have friends going through all manner of things in their marriages, from infidelity to unmet expectations to the pains of motherhood and wifehood. I have a married friend who is feeling loneliness too! Her and her husband are going through it right now and she feels isolated and lonely. Marriage is a whole new ballgame. Even the happily married people are going through real difficulties. It's a covenant and a commitment to an imperfect person with a real devil attacking the marriage. I'm grateful for so much insight because it makes me appreciate the small things I don't have to think about which will change once I get married. I never want to be in a place where it's only when I'm married that I start appreciating the freedoms my singleness afforded me. That is why all these people, as annoying as it is for us singles, are always telling us to enjoy and take advantage of our singleness. It reminds me of when I was a child, all I wanted to do was grow up and be independent. Now that I'm fully adulting, I wish I would have enjoyed my childhood more and not have focused so much on being an adult because it's not what it's all cracked up to be lol. Yes there's freedom and perks, but there's also a real responsibility. That's how I'm viewing marriage now. I love the way the Bible describes patience; long suffering. To be patient and wait on God is suffering for a long time. Suffering is not fun, it is painful, distressing and hard. All of us have something in our lives we are suffering long and hard about. I think it's just part of Christian life and it has its purpose to build our faith and trust in the Lord. Waiting on the Lord was never meant to be easy and enjoyable; just ask Abraham and Sarah waiting on their promised son. But waiting has its place and its purpose; you usually can't see it fully until the wait is over. There is a time for everything under heaven including a time to be single and a time to marry. The time will come for both of us, I have faith. Apologies for such a long comment, I have many thoughts and truthfully this doesn't scratch the surface of everything I think about on this subject. But i'm praying for you and bless you in Jesus' name 🙏

Don’t apologize for the length of your comment. It BLESSED me and I know I’m a couple months late but I’m glad I read this today when I did. I will say, after posting this video, something softened in my heart and I found a newfound gratitude for my singleness. With all good things comes big responsibility and that goes for singleness or marriage. I’ll probably read through this comment a few more times in the coming months. So thank you. 'Ask and shall be given, seek... Knock and the door shall...' Understand as well that 'All good and perfect gift comes from above...' Now having done the asking and seeking, and yet not receiving the answer, all you have to do is wait. The waiting must be done with a good attitude: with expectation, thanksgiving and fully trusting Him. People's perception or attitude, which will always be and you have nil control over, should never be the focus. It is a personal journey and not corporate one. Much can be elaborated regarding this topic... Remember, Joy, that God is faithful and He will grant you the desires of your heart.

You are taking the verse out of contest it refers to asking and being filled with the Holy spirit Luke 11:9-13
@y.m.505
@y.m.505 4 месяца назад
@@creativechristiancontent I guess you are not aware that the verse and the message the Messiah sent forth is not only recorded in Luke; you can find it in Matthew as well: Matthew 7:7 -11. It is further explained in Matthew 21:22. It is not only about the Holy Spirit as recorded by Luke. Importantly, if you have the Holy Spirit, your walk with God, prayers, asking or seeking the Lord on matters of life become effortless, because He will empower and guide you on how to pray and how to approach and overcome the challenges of life. To say that applying that scripture to all aspects of life, is out of context, is actually a lack of understanding. After you have received the Holy Spirit, what next? Asking God ceases? Seeking Him ceases? The cares of life automatically disappear?

I think drawing the line between happiness stemming from carnality and spiritual happiness is key, in addressing this topic. Remember that emotions such as love, joy, happiness etc were created by God. The Bible is replete of examples of the display of spiritual happiness. A prime example is David in many of his Psalms: "I was glad when they said unto me..." Distinguishing what is carnal and what is spiritual, remains a struggle in the Body of Christ; that Christians should or should not listen to secular music, is still a debate.

I can really relate to your story. I also made a vow to save myself for marriage thinking that God would bring someone to my life at what I thought was a normal age but I ended up staying a virgin until I was 54 years old when I finally after completely giving up on the idea met a Christian man who I ended up marrying. It definitely wasn’t easy and I regret not having the opportunity to have children due to the fact by the time I finally became sexually active I was menopausal but as a Christian I do my best to obey. I can’t believe I went that long it sounds crazy now and it many times I felt like giving up so I can fit in with the world but I’m glad I didn’t either way we end up being blessed by God it may not be what we think it should look like but I can definitely relate to you. However when we walk as he taught we experience a joy that goes beyond happiness and what we could ever imagine. It is then we realize that the things we once thought would bring us happiness would only be temporary and we would never be content rather we would always be seeking for happiness. love the last statement!

This speaks to me. I am fifteen and bisexual. I have never done anything with anyone of either sex, and I don't know what I should do. I started experiencing a menstrual cycle at 9, and from then on, the thoughts of love have been eating at me. I knew I liked girls and boys from a young age. I kissed a girl when I was in kindergarten and never told my parents until I was fourteen. Because of that and my desires, It makes it hard. I am in highschool, and the infatuation is there for me, with girls. I want to be honest with myself, but I know God may not like it. So, I distanced myself from church, but I still feel the love of God. I just don't know what to do.

I'm glad I came across your video. When I was young, I too made a pledge of purity. Until I joined university, I never had any challenges or any sort of temptation with guarding my virginity. I would get amazed hearing my friends' struggles because I just never had any, but I guess my upbringing played a part in this. I have been raised in a strong Christian homestead, and my whole identity, values, and beliefs were formed by my faith. Basically, it made me who I was. Upon joining university, though, that's when everything changed. The only reason why I decided to comment is that I wanted to talk about how it is important to surround yourself with people who share the same values as yourself. For the past three and a half years, I have been broken, depressed. I barely even recognize myself. I was so close to not even completing my university because of how messed up I was and sadly still am. In this process, I have lost so much and jeopardized my career, education, good friendships. Basically, everything in my life changed, and every day when I come back home, I try to hide my emptiness because my family is still the same way they were, but they don't know that I am just not the same family member they knew their whole life. Back in university, I remember filling a survey that asked for what kind of roommate I wanted; however, I got the opposite of what I asked for. Not everyone we meet shares the same politics, beliefs, and ideologies we have, and it's okay. However, the issue comes when one does not respect your beliefs and tries to sway you. Right now, we are living in a world where proclaiming that you are a Christian is like a sin, and when you are in a diverse community, it makes things a bit harder because you are scared that what you say can or might hurt others. When you are with guys who often talk about sex or other forms of sexual immorality, one way or another, this might start affecting you. The biggest regret I had was openly saying that I was a virgin to such 'friends'. Some might act all supportive, but in actual fact, they might be jealous. Some of the friends I had had traumatic experiences with their sexual partners, and them hearing that you are a virgin hurts them. So basically, they start messing up with your head in a way that you don't even realize at times. Today I am happy that, in the end, I didn't lose my virginity, but I lost something and developed negative habits. I pray that I will get myself back and that I will forgive and learn how to love myself again. I pray that I won't be too ashamed to go back to God. Please ask God for the spirit of discernment when it comes to friends and when it comes to insecurities or fears you might have when it comes to being a virgin, please talk to someone who shares similar values as you. God bless you all.❤

I know I’m a couple months late in replying but my God in heaven, what you wrote is so true and so impactful. I hurt to hear the pain that you’ve endured during your time at university (college was a tough yet transformative time for me as well - to put it lightly) but it is also a time where (whether you realize it yet or not) you’ve learned a lot more about God than you know. I should’ve been wiser who I did and did not share this sacred piece of information with during my formative years but I’ve since learned my lesson and am glad you have/are too. You are in my prayers and God bless you.
