Captain Jackson, your leadership and dedication are truly inspiring. It’s an honor to serve alongside you-thank you for setting the standard for us all!
I like your videos man. Me being a young black man and inspiring to be in the fire service, it’s always refreshing to see a black firefighter. There aren’t many of us from where i’m from.
man it’s so dope to be keeping up with your videos again, being that they’re firefighter focused, as I’m currently pursuing fire (taking my NREMT soon). long time subscriber from Oakland, CA; back to the sneaker vids in the old days. keep it up my brother; this is all wisdom & motivation 💪🏾🧑🏾🚒
Great video Layne from London Uk..I've been applying for years to get me into the fire service which at times has got me down but my friends already in the job always say just keep going if its what you believe in
Chief officers are white helmets such as deputy chief/assistant chief or even battalion chiefs. Captains are red helmets, Lt’s are blue helmets and Sargents are orange shields.
Captain, I’m a volunteer that’s struggled with weight my entire life, I’m now 30, 5’6 and around 270, recently a random citizen saw me and whispered “I hope he never has to save us or we’re in trouble” and that hurt, what can I do to finally get myself in shape? the motivation is hard to find, look forward to your answer, thank you!
I’m a former Marine and current Captain with the Chicago Fire Dept. Based on your age, height and weight you burn about 2100 calories a day just being alive. You need to eat around 1800 a day to lose weight. Keep track of your calorie intake. Drink only water no sugary drinks. Cut out sweets. Try to eat 2 meals a day of foods you like but stay in your calorie range. Everything has a calorie count on it. If you need to snack choose fruit or veggies. Start small with exercise like walking a mile and 3 sets of pushups as many as you can do. You will have some days you fail just don’t let those days string into weeks. You need to have a lot more good days then bad. Take it slow and steady. You did not gain weight in a few weeks so you’re not going to lose it in a few weeks either. First month will be your best then it will slow. Keep grinding you will get there.
As a fire captain and gym fanatic from the Netherlands i really like your idea of showing of your work and sharing workouts and meals! You have a new subscriber, keep up the good work 💪💪💪
Wow captain I remember when I was watching your videos 5 years ago trying to become a FF 6 years late I joined the coast guard and became a military firefighter looking forward to the civilian side
So wait how do you become a DoD firefighter? I want to go to the navy but I heard their firefighting is different and won’t become fire 1 and 2 certified
Junior firefighter here, I want to be Captain on the truck and love this content. Perfect mix of what the job is like and hanging out at the fire department. Thanks man!
Hello how you doing . I just wanted to how you handle being a black man at the firehouse . The fire department that I am at now I am one of two black fire fighters at the department that I work at I at firehouses two of which I was the only black firefighter.
I Would Say Explore All The Jobs That We Do Depending On What Department You Work On You Could Run Ems Or You Could Just Do Fire But To Become A Firefighter You Half Be Physically Mentaly Emotinally Ready We See People When There Having There Worst Day With That Being Said You Would Half To Look Into Your State Requirements But You Will Need To Complete Fire 1 And 2 And Then If The Department You Wanna Work For Has Ems Then You Emt B And Then Your Paramedic
Keep at it EMT school for me was a grind but I got through it I know you can too! I’m now finishing up my fire training and will begin working soon at my local department. Ps fire training is so much more fun the grind to get to it is worth it.
