No need for a heavy 115 on that little boat(unless the boat is too heavy, That's makes it double heavy, especially with 4 passengers). A 90 4 stroke would be better. I like the hull design.
That open anchor hatch isn't the best design it's a parachute for when cruising the wind would suck right in there a hatch door would not only look better but keep your anchor and rope alot cleaner and wouldn't get all caked up with salt, the rest of the boat is beautiful but that's a terrible design and flaw even walking through the front to a beach you have to step over or around it when you could walk straight down, hopefully they can install a hatch there that would be one of the first things I would do. All your equipment in there would be exposed to the sun , not good for rope.
Was very happy to buy Cruiseabout 490… first few months. In just under a year the boat became absolute rubbish - floors rot through, the front seat bases broke, window seals started to come off. What a crappy boats!
Let’s be clear. The Sharks inspired colours always look good but surely only Syd ex pats buy them. Anyways. As a freestyler owner and someone who upgraded to the 135HO, let’s just say I’m a little disappointed BRP have now ditched Ski doo jet boats, which I had and now Evinrude, of which I’ve bought two brand new in as many years. I’m done with BRP from now on in. They just don’t seem to get that many of us like the higher quality and performance products.
