Very nice! We fished that same area two mornings before (Thurs 30th), and tore them up! Like you, we ran the big paddles and flies just in case the Kings wanted to come out and play…no dice. The big Coho were rocking and we were back at the dock by 0900 with a 3-man! Thanks so much for the video….
I like that you are very patient with everyone and those boys are learning great fishing behavior from you, soft spoken, patient and calm. You are a great model for them not to mention a great angler. Very well done video.
It depends what rod but we use a variety of lines like lead core, weighted steel, and braid with weights on them to get our baits down. If you go to the RU-vid channel “Russel’s Fishing Tech” it has tutorial videos on all techniques we use.
Nice work guys. I see you fished brew city in a Ranger also. I’ve got a few questions about your boat if you don’t mind me asking. Are you on Facebook at all?
The guy doing the netting is fantastic! Patient and deliberately accurate! Great example of what I want to see on my boat. Thanks for the video. Congrats to you and yours! JR
@@sinfulbeliever7083 u can still improve the drag system by switching it out but by spending the extra money on the cold waters the drags are gonna be fine
Very well done gentlemen! I really liked your one-man net job; can you teach me how to do that? Thanks, keep up the good work. I’ll be in PW all next week, boat in a slip there when we’re not fishing.👍🏻
Your buddy has a strange style for fighting those fish. I’ve never seen that low-rod technique before, and it’s surprisingly effective! Keeps the fish just under the surface, so less chance of losing them rolling on top. I’ll try it! 😊
Yeah, I've never seen that approach, but hey it worked. I normally keep the rod tip up so rod can absorb any runs instead of the line taking all the stress. Love the background jams. thanks for throwing back the small ones for others to enjoy some day. Nice works fellas!
It’s pretty much the only way we fight fish here on the Michigan side. Would not recommend it with someone inexperienced on the rod but those that know how to fight fish with the line and the drag… our landing ratio has gone up significantly.
Great action! At what speed and overall depth it was happening? It appears you were about a mile or a bit more from the shore. What was surface water temperature?
