I loved this show as a kid, and I still love it so many years later! Thank you for the upload, and what a pleasure to watch without those old commercials.
By the time of the TV sttempt actors were too old to be convincing. In particular, years of voicing Walter's pitch had caused significant vocal strain.
I find it difficult to believe that all of the cigarettes advertised could be that good for you. Besides, I can't even find Fatima cigarettes. Maybe the BP station has some.
I just learned, Hazel / Shirley Booth was the original Miss Brooks but im happy Eve took over the role her Voice is perfect for the role & Shirleys voice fits sassy Hazel chractor tell me im wrong🤣😂😅

The beauty of radio: no visuals, no makeup, no cameras - just show up and read the script, but the mic position is what mattered, know when to move in and move out.
Have wondered for a few years now if Eve Arden's touch of sarcasm was natural or if it was "manufactured" to give her a different edginess to other blonde actresses. Don't get me wrong, I always loved it. However I have observed it in movies and other shows besides Our Miss Brooks.
Yep, whether she was doing comedy or film noir Eve Arden's ability to toss off a wisecrack superbly was front and center in all her roles, at least all the roles I've ever seen her in.😆
Wow, they advertise Chesterfield and Fatima cigarettes at the same time, I wonder if they’re manufactured by the same company. And National Bible week??? Why are we not celebrating that anymore?
