Great demo! Would love to see Dan @ TPS put this in a GigRig and have all sorts of dynamic control over the input & output. Maybe a V2 version might come with MIDI ....
I bought the Analogworm Noir mkII several years ago based on your demo. Great sounding, flexible but complex pedal. How would you compare this to the Noir?
Less complicated but no harmonic, random or MIDI. I love the Diamond Tremolo sentimentally due to the original version but I may hold the Noir a little higher for its insane feature set. Different stroke for different folks I suppose!
Just bought the R1. The first day I played with it, it didn't sound as good as your demo and I must admit I was disappointed with it. Also for some reason the presets in the A and B bank didn't function correctly..just sounded like the swell knob was cranked up fully. So I updated the unit to the latest version 1.12 and this added a few more features but it didn't cure the issue. As a last resort I did a factory reset which sorted the problem out!.....phew! I was getting worried I would have to return it. Now it works perfectly and once I got it in wide stereo mode I instantly fell in love with the sound. So beautiful and has a unique vibe of it's own. have you encountered any issues whilst using your R1?
Not personally but it’s a digital effect and sometimes computers have little glitches, thankfully the good old factory reset deals with 95% of the problems. R1, in my opinion, is one of the most underrated stereo multi reverbs available today.
@@ponderersounds3172 Yeah I totally agree. Now looking at maybe the D1 V2 but also The OTO Machine BIM sounds fantastic. Doesn't do the tape delay thing but what it does do is very inspiring and sounds great on Drum machines and vocals.
Yeah but it doesn't sound exactly the same as when I was 15 years younger and I was playing an entirely different rig, almost completely drowned out by drums in an untreated concrete garage. Must be different caps.
What an absolutely fantastic video explaining everything about the Slöer reverb without a word. Just loved the graphics and all about how you did it. I have Moog Subharmonicon and Lyra 8 and want to do Ambient. I already have the Strymon Blue sky but keep looking at videos about the Slöer. Somehow ....er....I want one. Okay so it does not do midi presets but I do not like using a pc to get them anyway. Thats why I spent dollars on hardware!.....duh. Do you think the Slöer is superior to the Bluesky? I know its subjective but want your opinion please.... Thank you so much for a 5 star vid man.
I always put it in the video description, but here it is: Gear - 2022 Groves Custom 62' Telecaster, UA Dream & Juno 25 - Audient Preamps for Piano, Synth & Sample tones. I used an amp sim on the left (UA Dream, can’t remember the specifics) and a real amp on the right (the Juno is a Bassman style amp) I always dial them in quite close but not quite. The Tele is a custom build by a master here in Australia, almost a straight up ‘62 standard but with a little more across the string spacing at the nut, and a slightly more baseball bat feel to the neck, pickups are both Righteous Sound, 90’s Gazer in the neck and Tele Foil in the bridge. I don’t do any audio work in post, you hear it exactly how it was recorded. Hope that’s what you were wanting ✌🏼
Fantastic video that really showcases how this incredible effect can be used. I wanted to mention though that you made a mistake when listing the "modes" switch around 3:50. Left on the mode switch is "Inverse" and middle is "Standard". Otherwise, great video all around!
There’s a lot of similarities, the radius is a little deeper and has the bonus of MIDI/presets, but if that’s not important to you the Feber seems almost endless. Both excellent ✌🏼
Ah, that's great. Since you have Radius in front of you, allow me 2 questions: 1. feedback in Radius seems only on/off, is there a lot of FEED variation in Feber, that Radius misses out on (also FEED on ringmod). 2. Is the lack of an LP filter a huge miss? Thanks so much!!
This is a gorgeous set of examples of what's possible. Given the price point and my menial job... it's got me thinking how I'd cobble each sound together from what filters, resonance, and lfos I have, but reverse engineering is a joy not a curse. Thank you!
