Glenn Davis is a national play-by-play announcer for ESPN and FOX and serves as the lead play-by-play announcer for the Houston Dynamo’s local TV broadcasts. He also hosts a weekly radio show titled “Soccer Matters with Glenn Davis” on KFNC in Houston and KTXX-FM in Austin.
Over his 25-year broadcasting career, Glenn Davis has called matches in the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Women’s World Cup, men and women’s Olympic soccer, Concacaf Gold Cup, Concacaf Champions League, Major League Soccer, the National Women’s Soccer League and men and women’s collegiate soccer - working as the play-by-play announcer of the NCAA Men’s College Cup Final for almost a decade.
While I'm happy to see that the match attendance has improved the last 2 seasons, the game day environment is quite flat and there's very little tradition and participation during matches... if it wasn't for #elbatallon it would be a dead environment.
Would love to see a comparison between the famous Real Madrid team with Los Galácticos and the current Real Madrid squad. The differences between ages and backgrounds shows why this current squad will most likely succeed
If your just making the playoffs your a loser. Flat out. No team has ever won MLS Cup that finished 5th or worse. Ever. The tired old saw that you can just get hot at the end of season has been conclusively disproven over and over -- yet it gets repeated. That was true when there were 10 teams in MLS. Not in at least a decade has it been true. Further, leagues cup changes the schedule. Summer signings get less than 1/3 of the season rather than the 1/2 of the season from previous years. So no -- waiting until Summer writes off the season. These are just facts.

I’m here, Mr. Davis. I won’t go back to another Dynamo match until they drop the purple kits and apologize for pushing 90’s drug rap culture. Yes, every like and comment helps with getting sponsors. I know. I need that for my channel, too. Thumbnails matter.
I believe the blue card is a shield to protect the refs from being surrounded and harassed. Eventually it will greatly decrease delays from when 8 players surround a ref. It's a good idea imo and when it's taken root will actually speed up the game becuz the refs don't want to give a second yellow to a guy who is arguing a call. I just think it's a mechanism to lessen the stress on refs
