My name is Chi Li, 5'2" founder of petitedressing.com, the clothing site dedicated to women under 5'4" . I created this channel to share a smarter approach to petite fashion. I had a finance career in an investment bank for many years. After seeing the petite section diminishing in all major department stores in the last decade, I became an entrepreneur in 2021 to focus on Petite Dressing, the clothing site for petites. Come join our fun and supportive community! For starters, we have weekly live sale with petite models trying on our new arrivals, a "petite girls' night in" to connect with our customers.
How fortunate for me that I was not trying to impress you or anyone else. I don't much care how it makes me look, I care how I feel. Guess what? I AM OLD! It isnt a sin.
Hi Chi!! You have such great tips and advise! I’m stuck between petite hourglass with a short torso and inverted triangle. I’m 5’0, my hips and bust are the same size, both very full but my waist isn’t as defined as a typical hourglass and my shoulders are broader than my hips. Which one would you classify me as?
Why should we care if someone thinks we "look old" or "look heavy"? The answer: We should NOT care if someone thinks we are "old" or "fat." Stop telling us what to wear.
I love these tips! So helpful! This is common for us petite women after kids because we have short torsos and less room to accommodate the baby and all the fluid in pregnancy. I had polyhydromnios (double the fluid in pregnancy) for my third baby and my stomach was dangerously stretched. It will never be the same, but working with it helps!!
I am 4’10 You are my lifesaver . I have dressed better since I watched videos. Your Chanel is the best in all of the Chanels I have watched . You tips how to look taller for people under 5 ‘2 . Thank you so much! ❤❤
People should wear what they like and that THEY feel comfortable in and like…not dress to make someone else happy …why do people care what others wear…you say wearing something makes a person look older…i say that talking smack about what others wear makes you look snobbish. People are much more than what they look like on the outside.
Im 59..i wear whatever I like ..usually its loud, colorful, different; even my hair color changes from time to time..i wear things most other women wouldn't be caught dead in..have always tried different prints n patterns. I have a friend who wears only solid, safe colors and refuse to wear sleeveless tops ..still wears stockings..i be trying to bring her into this century😂
I'm so happy to have watch this one! I usually look at your videos 3-4 times a week as I'm 5ft 136 lbs and this one particularly pleased me as I'm a little chubby with a ... sigh... tummy! So many thanks and keep bring us more of Bianca and curvy girls suggestions. Many thanks.
Oh good, now i know what not to wear: stuff that is uncomfortable and plain! Imma go dress like a 90yo asian grandmother hawking random veggies in the street now. Might even get the little wheely cart, those seem useful.
I still wouldn’t wear denim to an office and by Office I’m referring to a traditional office. Perhaps if it was a raggedy start up company it would be appropriate, but in my mind if you’re meeting with clients don’t wear denim, it may cost you a client.

Don’t forget sleeveless tops, using the lavender colored dress as an example, regardless of one’s build, weight, skin tone etc. A sleeveless top does not flatter. I know for me, I had rapid weight loss after an illness and my arms look flabby, and I know many women store fat in their upper arms, it’s genetic and completely normal, but the lack of at least a cap sleeve really draws attention, and then in photos, which are 2D, the eye is seeing the surface of the arm as a flat plain instead of seeing the natural curvature.
