From someone who was in property management for 45 years, this was most interesting and informative. I wish that professionals like Stephanie were available when I was in the business. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with everyone. Patrick Murphy CPM. CCIM. RPM. GRI. CRS. CRB. CAPS.
Color me impressed! Being the solo marketing person over such a large and complex portfolio is so challenging. It is a credit to Ashley that she does it so well. Thanks for sharing so many great tips.
Love this! It is such an important topic and far too few solutions are out there. Cara’s passion for recovery is compelling. 8m buying the book right now.
Knowing your father and the man of the community he is; I am not surprised. As a new retarred person, one of the things I am looking forward to is getting involved again. I was a founding member of our local Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Once I started working full time and got married I didn't seem to have time. My Wife and I recently joined our parish choir. I'm only retired a week so I'm still feeling my way around. I belong to my local gun club that does a lot of community work. I am looking forward to seeing what else I can do once I get my act together with figuring out this new life. <3 CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS <3
Such a great reminder that a small action can have catastrophic results. How can property management best educate and put real solutions for residents who hang artwork throughout their homes with no idea where electrical and plumbing lines are?
Very insightful episode! Complex (and often bolted on) technology is bound to go haywire from time to time, especially when exacerbated by loss of institutional knowledge due to employee turnover.
This episode is a must see for maintenance supervisors AND property managers. Take the time and you will increase your understanding and improve your results in terms of maintenance purchase planning.
What you said is all true but sad! When i retired @ Chrysler/Daimler-Benz in 2007 (30 years) I went into the multi-family industry. I live in Kirkwood,Mo./STL
Good stuff! I loved how Jared realizes that there is a LOT of movement in Multifamily (from a job perspective) and that someone who may not have been right THEN may be right now - #Situational Thanks for sharing both of you!
Leveraging people into roles that they LOVE -- makes Centralized processes SO MUCH more nuanced...I LOVE IT!! And then...to incentivize them with bonuses (that sound like) that MATTER...not measly pittance! Josh Winch - love what you are doing here!
Tips -throughout the day, take 5… 5 minutes to a rapid clean up from everyone in the office. Then have everyone walk outside and inside with fresh eyes to see what residents, guests and co-workers see. First impressions matter! This habit creates movement, energy and a daily sense of accomplishment!
Necole is such an inspiration!! I am still young in the industry so I love to see managers who have been doing this for a while still loving what they do. It is not an easy job but it is fun and definitely worth it!
I agree that advancements should impact the staffing levels but not in the way one might think. I think centralization will impact the office/admin side of our business. Headcount will reduce in the office and should be reallocated on the service side of the business.
Epic Episode, Lissi! Vision boards rock! #thevisionstartswithyou I'm off the charts excited about your message(s) Lissi!!! Thriving in Multifamily is FIRE!
Incredible message! I've oftern compared public speaking to dying a thousand deaths! Your tips are #gold! And, your overarching message is about 'how we make people feel' is so true! Great episode Paul!
