Wow this is cool to see. It's actually quite funny comedy I wouldn't have expected from the time. I loved every moment he was in Strangers With Candy. Just watched Goodbye Guy with my daughter so we had a look into his life and led us here. Thanks so much for the upload.

I visited the Buchenwald site last week knowing Robert Clary's story. Let's hope the lessons of the past are learned so that they cannot be repeated in the future. Rest in Peace Robert Clary.

Same month and year that I visited NYC and The Bitter End and met Ken Gorka. He was nice enough to chat with me for a little while about his days in the music business. The guest onstage that night was the guitarist Oz Noy, who was backed by Will Lee on bass and Anton Figg on drums. Will and Anton were also in Paul Schafer's band on Late Night With David Letterman.

I just came across this on RU-vid. What a wonderful speaker. I was in tears listening to his story. How wonderful to have this testimony forever. I hope those kids he was talking to never forget this speech. He was so right. Power hungry people always make the world worse.

I'm glad Mr. Clary isn't alive to see what's happening right now in this country...

A powerful and moving testament from Robt. Clary. Unfortunately, the subtitles aren't very good: young people who might not know much abt the Holocaust wouldn't know from watching this that the transit camp French Jews were sent to was Drancy, the 9hr. documentary mentioned by Clary is "Shoah", etc.

Like many others, I cry when I hear this song. My Dad passed away while my Mother was pregnant with me. Many people would tell me what a wonderful man he was while I was growing up. He had a terrific singing voice, which he shared with many people throughout Northern California in the 1940s and 1950s. Don’t know if people can understand this, since I never knew him, but I miss him so much to this day. This song will always touch me in a special way. Thank you, Paul. And thanks for the great memories-I grew up watching “The Donna Reed Show.”

Robert Clary speaks clearly and should be listened to. He speaks out about what Trump is advocating about what Hispanics, Jews, Moslems native Americans and Asians will have to go through.

My mother is a German who was born in 44. She is a holocaust denier. She was taught at an early age that "some Jews died" usually from American bombs. I worked with a nice little old lady. Very religious. She once told me that Hitler was right to kill the Jews. Absolutely sickening.

Tears! Such a sweet and heartfelt song for one of the great humans. I love Arthur with all my heart and soul. I've lit a candle for him today, and it's a gift beyond measure to have your song and images come my way. I adore the photos of him! Thank you for this. We love you, Arthur, always and forever!!

Finding this is a gift beyond measure. Arthur was my cousin-in-law, and I absolutely loved and adored him. How could you not? He was a treasure. It's his yartzeit today, and I wanted to see if I could find him on RU-vid. Seeing and hearing this brings tears to my eyes and fills my heart. I love and miss you, dear Arthur!

I was a big fan of Paul as a kid. And I loved this song, though my Dad died before I got to know him. I think of my four brothers when I hear this song, because they became surrogate fathers to me. And, I HOPE their kids love them as much as I do!

When he gets to “I love him so” he changed it to “I loved him so” and that’s when I began to tear up. I can see that he feels some level of emotion when he sings this. Great song. Beautiful.

My father died nice years ago to the day. I was 17 and easily the second worst day off my life; the first being the day he told us of his cancer diagnosis just 67 days earlier. It still feels unreal that he's gone. He was my best friend, my protector, my mentor in all things. He will be missed. I don't know if the void in my heart for him will ever go away. The lyrics of this song really help encapsulate partly about how i feel.

What "A BRAVE" Young Man "YOU" were Robert Clary to have survived "ALL" that you went through from age 16 to 19. Brings me to tears your description of "ALL" that you went through & that so many others went through as well, in this talk that you have given for "ALL" of us to hear, "before" your own death in Nov. 2022. Your Mother & Father must of smiled down upon you from Heaven, as you gave this talk when you were alive upon this earth & they would of been so "VERY" proud of "YOU" relaying to other's your message "To not hate." "Thank you" & "God rest your soul" and may your "JOY" now "BE GREAT" for you as you are reunited with your Dear Parent's & Your "BEAUTIFUL LOVING Mother" & also Your beloved Wife of whom you "LOVED" "SOOOO VERY MUCH" ALL on the other side of Heaven with "YOU" now. May Your JOY be great now & "Thank You" also to the person who put this talk out there on You Tube so "THAT WE NEVER FORGET."

One of my favorite memories of the Donna Reed Show. I enjoyed watching Paul because he was the same age as I was during that time. I purchased the 45rpm record at that time and still have it. I was 16 at the time the song came out on the show and it meant a lot to me. Unfortunately, my father passed less than two years after that. At that time in the 60s, the teenage stars of television was branching out doing songs and Paul was one of them as well as Shelley Fabares who played the sister on the show had a hit song called Johnny Angel that was a great song as well.

I was very touched by your sweet song and it made me think of my little cat "Judaline" as I was the "only person she ever knew " and sadly she passed out of my life last year. Also I loved your father's painting of Judy Garland so much and see a print of it in the video above the sofa.
