Sherpa is ethnic group. Sherpas mostly engage in work above ebc these days. I am sure there are some Sherpa porters but most porters are from other ethnic groups. These porters are the real unsung heroes. Backbone of the entire industry in the mountains.
I called in here on the approach to Everest as I had read about Tengboche since I was a little boy. I am an atheist but it was the most spiritual experience I have ever had.
Because no-one would give them. Their salaries are low. If they had opportunity to stop this work and get money from less physically demanding job, they would do so immediately.

For the fall zone, is there an affordable and safe alternative to laying out multiple crashpads? My wall will be indoors (garage) so have space to store away right next to it. Thanks for the help!
