At 0:50 I have an old 320 Electronic. There (when you picked out the black metal) it has a screw that will not come out. So there was as long as I could go 😂
Beautiful machine, and impressive skill! How you remembered so many parts, pieces and how they go together and in the correct order. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. 😃
Wow! You did amazing cleaning job, such attention to small details! Much appreciated that you uploaded this series, so helpful for those of us that have an interest in restoring these wonderful machines or at least try to keep them in good condition. Excellent videos!!! 👏👏👍
Thank you also for watching and sharing our videos, the following video is sewing machine assembly: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tx2YsYyTKjE.html
There are no screws, I used a fingernail on my left hand and pulled the plate towards me and then you lift it up, if you can't with a fingernail then use a thin screwdriver. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sek0-DziI-0.htmlsi=QuZ3PETP8K9TK8Jv&t=77
Very impressive video's. These machines are now again very popular. Far better than the plastic version of Bernina nowadays! Thanks again and don't be dissapointed. There will be always people like me who are interested!
Thank you, I agree that Bernina is no longer what it used to be, today it is all plastic, a closed box, we can't see anything inside, the quality is very questionable, at least something of the old Swiss precision could have been preserved.
I cannot answer that question concretely, Singer 45K has many models, it all depends on what one of the models is intended for, whether it is for sewing fabric or thick leather, they are old sewing machines, for example Singer 45k11 has a 12 mm stitch length, Singer 45k69 it has a 6 mm stitch length...many models have a constant and unchanging stitch length of 3-5 mm and do not have the option to reduce the stitch length at all. www.masinskikutak.com/2021/11/singer-45k-industrial-sewing-machine.html
Considering the stitch length, I don't believe that it is fixed, they are old sewing machines and they are very rarely in my workshop. Finding a specific specimen is very rare.
I found one of these at the weekend and the only thing wrong with it is the stitch length dial is a bit stiff but thinking this is probably because it hasn't been used for ever. Looks like it has been stored away. Definitely feels a little easier as I use it but still bit hard on my wrists!
It seems that this is their shortcoming, with this example in the video clip, the upper button of the programmer was very stiff, I remember that I had a hard time fixing that problem. Try to lubricate the inside and outside with a slight heating, the best option would be the complete construction of the button, detailed cleaning of the bearing and lubrication, now I don't know how ready you are for that, maybe it's a job for a good technician.
@@MasinskiKutak Thank you very much. I have been collecting and restoring sewing machines for 3 years, so far there are 69 machines in the collection, five of which are Pfaff
Hi, I'm messaging on behalf of a reddit user, she cant get the machine to turn on, could you please either explain which button turns it on or show a video of how it should be. We're trying to work out if it's broken.
I can't remember if this sewing machine model even has a switch, probably a light bulb switch,? does the light bulb work on the machine? if it works, then the machine is under voltage, but the fault is in the control pedal, if the light bulb does not work, then first you need to check the cables that supply the power to the sewing machine and then the foot control, mostly it seems that the sewing machine will have to be inspected by a technician, I do not advise any work by non-professionals around live parts.
It's a very annoying situation, it happens because the cover lock is not good, the problem is a small lock or free hand damage.. Check the position of the lock on the cover to see if it is worn or broken.
Awesome! Can you give me the dimensions of the two belts please? I have to replace them on my 530-2, and hope to be as close to previous as possible. Thank you for your answer🤗
Hey, would you happen to know where to buy replacement parts? I am looking for that bobbin cover plate right at the beginning of the video. We have the exact same machine too, but when I look online some supplies refer to the S250, my machine only says 250 electronic on it. Is that the same model?
You probably mean the bobbin cover,? Husqvarna Viking S250 and Husqvarna Viking 250 Electronic, I really don't know what the difference is, it's probably a matter of powering the machine's motor, dimensions and number of programs, they are identical sewing machines, but I'm not sure.
That was a treat to see and hear. What an exquisite piece of machinery! You did an excellent demo, this is so clean and perfect. I also like how easy it is to remove the access panels to get inside fast, unlike the 930 which is a pain to open up with a dozen screws! Please show us the stitches it can do next time. It would be fun to see. Many thanks! Greetings from California. Puno hvala! Pozdrav iz Kalifornije.
Thank you for this marvelous video! Shows you all the access points. I think the 830 record is a lot easier to open up and service. In the end, it is always about how easy it is to maintain.
@mjremy2605 I will do a quick comparison between the Bernina 830 and 930 Record, Bernina 830 Record is a good old classic, without electronics, while Bernina 930 Record is a slightly more complex model but also with more options, Bernina 930 Record also has electronics that are very simple for today's circumstances but effective for smooth sewing and strong piercing power for the needle. Both sewing machines have their own advantages and disadvantages, in my opinion the Bernina 930 Record is a better sewing machine, but a little more difficult to maintain. Thank you for your response and for your comment, greetings to you in the distant and beautiful California from Bosnia, you may not have heard of Bosnia, it is a small country in Europe.
A couple of years ago I was trying to find a RU-vid on oiling a Bernina 930. So I guess that is why this popped up. I can get some help from watching the this one. Thanks I love my Bernina and I have the guide book but the photos on oiling it are not really helpful. Still hoping to find something on RU-vid showing me exactly.
Oh I see there is another video about how to disassemble the front panel. You are wonderful for these videos . Because it is a great machine. Thank you!
This is so helpful. How did you get the panel off the machine. I got my machine serviced ,but the technician had trouble getting the buttonhole mechanism to work properly. He was not sure about this older machine. But this video may really help.
2 problems- the ornamental stitch selector (9 in machine book) and the needle displacement lever(13 in machine book) are not moving at all. how can I make them move? the machine works really good
Positions: 9-ornamental stitch selector, 13-needle displacement lever; It is most likely that the mentioned positions are stuck due to old grease and corrosion, use sewing machine oil, wd40 type spray agent as well as heating with a hair dryer, heating partially melts the old grease. Only a qualified technician can take it apart, thoroughly clean and lubricate it. The mentioned problem is a very common occurrence with old Bernina sewing machines.
@@MasinskiKutak thank you!! where to put the oil- on red spots of oiling, or behind the needle button? and where to clean for 9-ornamental stitch selector? I opened top cover, machine was clean, I clean more and oiled it, what else?? thanks you very very much, I don't have any service 2 hours driving from my location. thanks again! I took care of many singer and brother machine and I have a good hand.
Beautiful. I too picked up an 830 Electronic in near pristine condition, inside and out, only 6 days ago. It had not been used for 25 years! I’m just getting it ready to start sewing!❤😊
@@MasinskiKutak Thank you. I have and purchased a brand new Bernina foot pedal for safety. From the serial number, the Bernina Record Electronic 830 I purchased was produced in 1981 and I have given it a thorough oil up before using it. I am so pleased to have this example of Swiss Engineering in my possession!! I am in Western Australia and out of interest, my parents are from Croatia. PS Thanks for your informative videos.
I've seen these before and didn't know what they were. none of my current machines have one of these, but I'm going to go hunt down a janome 618 right now. super curious.
It's a very interesting accessory for a sewing machine, I had one and sold it, if you find a Janome 618 pay attention to whether it has this accessory, it's very often missing.
@@MasinskiKutak I'm combing through eBay listings. zooming it on all the pictures. I'll find another one. I actually may have one in my many sewing drawers. apparently there is a early 1970 singer that also does this
