I've never believed the official narrative of it being for water to Liverpool. Other, uninhabited valleys could have been used if that was the case, but it wasn't. The water wasn't actually needed. There must be another motive for the mindless destruction of a beautiful Welsh village, and the needless tearing apart of a thriving community.
