One common reason for not operating the roof is that, although the netline is pulled and fitted in the boot, when the roof starts laying it touches something either beneath, or aside in the boot. Then the sensors react and the systems stops. So you need to find what interfere there. In some situations the boot cover could be lifted manually by two people, to help see what blocks inside.
They did this for summer season & Arthur said "I bet I can do this without saying a word" So when nicholas asks for a shave, Arthur ,without fair warning, looks at him, looks at the other busy barber & does it in silence. "You bugger, you did it" laughed .Nicholas
Yeah. The MC Band in a nearly empty pub in High Wycombe. Actually the place where Killing Floor had had great success at the 'Blues Loft' back in the 60s. But that was upstairs.. we literally brought the roof down.. collapsing the plasterwork below us with the footstomping. So this was a pretty casual affair in comparison, but I'm glad to see that we gave it some welly. Dangerous Dave, Chris Sharley and Eddie Masters playing their hearts out. Excellent.
Seen you guys about 3 times now. And CANT wait to see you again in late feb. You are 1 of my top 3 cover bands in the area. BRILLIANT stuff. 👏👏👏. EXTRA ❤ to your Floyd covers. 🙏
I'm so glad that clip of Wendy Richard survived. I'm just reading about it in her biography, "Wendy Richard, no 'S'". When she said it went out live I thought there would be no chance of it surviving.
Manny Charleton...from me to you, personally...when I saw/met you in Wilmington, NC...you were a total "un-receptive A-Hole!" Dan was a total gentleman. Darrell and Pete did not come up to the "Upper Penthouse"! Glad I got to see Darrell before he passed.
Maggie was one of my lecturer s when I was studying drama at hebburn many years back. A lovely talented canny human who was a laugh. She told me once that someone had rang up the college inquiring about doing a do a btec in drama and singing. At the time she thought it was a guy who runs the customs house in south shields (Ray Spencer) having a joke with her and putting stupid voice on. So she said, erm no you can't do the course because you sound rubbish. The guy on the phone said OK and hung the phone up. Then she found out later that it wasn't a joke and couldn't contact the guy to say sorry. I laughed s hard when she told me that. Lol memories. Xx
