For everyone asking about preservation and shelf life, maybe add preservative to the water … That’s what I’m going to try 😊. Thank you for the upload 🙏🏿
wow this is a technique pretty different than the one I saw! maybe because they started with a smaller amount of butter. BUT they said that the solids could be used for cooking! By looking at them, I would say that they do not look so good to consume. Thanks for sharing this video! How much ghee do you get from 500 grs of butter? I am trying to decide if I should make it or buy it 🙂 If I bought it, what brand would be good?
thanks for sharing! I love the fact that you are NOT using the traditional Cooper bowl and went beyond by using a mixer! My question is: what should be the temperature of the water? I watched a video where the person making this cream said to use very cold water. I think very cold water will make the washing process easier. But I have never made it (trying to get the courage and knowledge to do it 😊)
I know it removes may be some of the spiritual process but this seems to be a way to bring ghee back to the butter stage so why not using straight organic butter? What could be the difference in your opinion?
I'm not an expert but I think the final cream (100 times washed ghee) and butter have a different structure/composition. During the process of making ghee from butter, you remove the solids of the butter (lactose) when making ghee. Thus ghee is the butter fat with much less lactose. Now, you are converting ghee into something different by the process of mixing it and "washing" it. Thus, the final cream and butter may look similar but their composition is different. I bet that the smell is also different.
I used stainless utensil. I didn't have copper vessel. I don't think it will impact much. Of course, I made this for the first time ever. So keeping fingers crossed 🤞
Wow, watching how the hems practically melted away within 48 hours, feels so good lol, I used what I talked about the other day, well it actually took about 72 hours for them to totally shrink and disappear, I just go’ogled Melissa Thanderski and the sense of relief is so worth it.
