Wait until the last moment No thanks, I wanna live right now It's alive anyway, I'm just riding (writing?) on it Looking all around Some words are so honest There’s no way to live them down But we’ll try anyway, thats a promise When we do, thats a vow And I do love you Yeah, I do love you I let in the rain today I opened up the windows and doors It’ll dry anyway, and its worth it With the outside in, that sweeter skin Every living lover once stood here At one time or another, asking "why?" What’s the point? How did we get here? And without an answer, we live and die. But I do love you Yeah, I do love you There’s so little I know Got a long way to go But I do love you Wait until the last moment No thanks, I think I’ll forgive right now I’ll take the drive any day, just to ride on it Looking all around Some words are so honest There’s no way to live them down But we’ll try anyway, thats a promise When we do, thats a vow But I do love you Yeah I do love you There’s so little I know And a long way to go But I do Love you
Is she… implying that this show was recorded and might be released as a live album? 😮 @00:35 ish does anyone who went know?? I really hope so! Just saw her in Oakland and… so good. Was hoping some of this tour gets recorded - especially these acoustic versions of big thief songs she played, and Real House with violin and guitar (dunno if she played that in LA though)
Hi Neroli! I was at the show, too, and I think I was sitting a couple rows behind you (last row of the floor, actually)! It was one of the most special shows of my life! Thank you for videoing the songs! I have a question for you - do you remember what the first song she played was??? Thank you so much if you know! Cheers! 😊 Nan
Oh cool! Yes it was fantastic. I like being able to relisten and share with other fans. I saw her twice this tour. We were in the row behind the band, in O. 🙂 The Only Place was the first. You can usually look it up on setlist.com. Best!🫶
@@nerolilaine9973 I also love the nuance from the chorus (wait, is it the chorus?) that begins, "You could write me and I *bet* you will" and then goes to "*think* and finally *hope.* Great writing.
Pattys best albums.... 1. Impossible dream 2. 1000 kisses 3. Silver bell 4. Flaming red 5. A kiss in time 6. American kid 7. Children running through 8. Living with ghosts 9. Downtown church
Great video! Also Margo's phrasing is more conversational than Dylan's, all his accents on the last word in every line da-DA da-DA da-DA, or dragged out with pauses and extra emphasis.
