Parks and Recreation Ontario (PRO) is a non-profit association that advances the health, social and environmental benefits of quality recreation and parks through evidence-based practices, resources and collaborative partnerships.

Parks and Recreation Ontario was formed in 1995 as a result of the consolidation of former member organizations of the Parks and Recreation Federation of Ontario (PRFO). Today, PRO has over 5,200 members including professionals, volunteers, educators, students, interested citizens, elected officials and commercial representatives - all with an interest in how recreation and parks contribute to healthy people and vibrant communities. Through its membership, PRO has a connection with over 10,000 professionals and volunteers who provide parks and recreation services.
