Nice video! 🙂 What month did you visit Arizona? We’re going this October & the weather still seems super hot. Also, can you give us an idea on how much should we tip the tour guide? Thank you!
@travelwithdande

Thank you for watching the video! We are glad you liked it. We went to Arizona the week of 4th of July due to fitting in work schedule. It was in the 100's all week. Hot is hot but we live in the south and enjoyed the dry heat vs the humidity we deal with. It looks like the average daytime temperature for the month of October is 89. We normally tip tour guides 20% like you would do for other services. Of course, it depends on service whether it's more or less sometimes. We loved Leo our guide and gave a few extra $'s. Let us know if you go and your thoughts on the tour.

@@travelwithdande I enjoyed the food immensely and we went in with low expectations because we are hobby cooks. It is hard to say what my favorite thing was because this was my first cruise. I enjoyed the cocktails, the hot tubs (it was April/May so weather could be questionable across the Atlantic), our balcony and meeting folks. We also enjoyed our excursions which were NCL. Next time, we'll do our own thing or private tours.

Y'all are going to love it!! The name of the excursion is "Panama Canal by Ferry". You go through the Gatun locks and get off the Gem in Gatun Lake. They bus you to Gamboa where you board the ferry. You take the ferry down the Guillard Cut, cross the Continental Divide and through the Pedro Miguel and Miraflores Locks on the way to the Pacific. It is a long day but well worth it. Enjoy!!

Hello. I enjoyed your video and found it very informative as we will be taking this same cruise in November. I do have a question did you book you excursion at the Panama Canal thru NCL. If so what is it called. If not who was it booked thru. Thank you so much.

We are so glad you liked the video! This excursion was through NCL. When we booked it, it was Panama Canal by Ferry. We were too nervous to book through a private site since it was such a long excursion. We have watched too may videos of cruise ships leaving passenger that weren't back from excursions that weren't booked through them. Haha! We were late coming in because of a delay with the Panama Canal pilot boarding the ferry. Since we booked through NCL they waited for us. Let us know what your experience on the excursion was when you get back. Have a great cruise!

We wouldn't have been able to do the things we did on the tour. I'm glad you mentioned food. We liked most of the dishes we ate but weren't in love with some of it. My wife and I are NCL Platinum cruisers. Not retired yet but hopefully in 5 years. We have cruised mostly Bahamas, Eastern and Western Caribbean's. We have also gone to Alaska. We are hoping to go to Europe but we know it is very expensive. Living in south Florida we have thought about doing a Panama Cannel cruise. I have noticed that you have done an excursion at every port, I know that could add up so just wondering which ports to do an excursion or just get off the ship and walk the port. As Platinum rewards members we get 4 specialty dinners (including free at sea) and of course open bar. We have also been to Harvest Kay and would probably stay on the ship for that stop.

Unfortunately we do not know about the shopping area. We went on the Ferry Excursion and had some delays so we got back to the boat late. Sure, on the Gem, they have everybody with an excursion to meet at the stardust theatre at a certain time. Then they send off groups of people by excursion. They sometimes give you a sticker with a bus number if everybody boards buses. If you are not taking an excursion from NCL, they let you go off first. It’s pretty orderly so it all goes well. We never had to wait a long time in line. Hope this answers your question.

5:55 Sorry but I don't Buy that this was a Meteor Impact forming a crater as you described, what raises flags is that there is NO Other debris around or for miles of this site. For something this size, a meteor would have splashed rocks all over the place. I think it's more of an ancient sink hole of some type, maybe not but definitely not from a meteor. I just can't see it, the more I look the more I'm convinced its not a meteor like we're being told.
