Man this was added after I already spaded f4J and a few years ago I got a tali randomly while trying to spade it for ground RB but kind of ditched it and forgot about it. But I was playing a bunch of top tier lately and rediscovered it for air RB and I'm having way more fun with it than the tomcat. Just a fun to get back to primarily gun dog fights.
I.m flying jf17 since begin and now I'm unhappy. Over the time plane and especially weapons are heavily nerfed. Sd10 was best missiles now are worse and useless. Gb6 should be stealth but are easily killed by Sam's. Cruise missiles are short range now and limited painful control, hits ground in low flight mode. Ground targeting is pain now, camera looses track when you pass the target. Radar is blind. Often can't see f16 and f18. No block 3 upgrade available.... Before jf17 was quite nice aircraft but now is worse modern plane.
She is a great little plane. It's short loitering time is It's biggest draw back. Its ability to carry 4 anti radar missiles while still carrying fuel tanks is great.
Pro tip: Unless you are certain you will be aerial refueling it is best to forgo the probe. You can achieve higher mach numbers without the probe as well as burn a tiny bit less fuel.
now thats some brain dead gameplay why would you go head on with a g series while in an f4 he is way heavier you out turn him any day of the week and the f4 trop is actually slightly worse than the american f4 because of the desert air filter and more so if it has the extra guns
The yak3 at 4.3 and the 109f4 are very similar. You usually want to fight yaks at high alt as they don't have the high altitude supercharger that the 109 series does. Unless it's the yak3vk107 or the yak3u the fight is pretty even
@@Ayden_oh_no part of getting good at dealing with tough situations is getting into them and getting out of your comfort zone. Fuck about. Try fighting them in different ways till you find a way to take them out that your best at.
The 109 series is my favorite aircraft series right behind the corsair, I have every premium 109 including the 109z except for the premium Romanian 109g2 event vehicle in the german tech tree.
I can say that this plane great and its only weakness is that its going to fight itself And last time I played it US was paired with the most braindamaged prop players the bambuboys aka japan Its an apex predator of sorts Best climb rate at its br and most importantly its good where others arent->3000m and above ( you will always start with the advantage) Keeps it energy well (pretty much untouchable in zoom and boom) Mg 151 with airtarget belts clap (if your having hard time with the lead just get closer before firing) Do not dogfight in this thing especially in low altitude
Its gotten to the point where If I'm not above anyone now, I just automatically die... my playstyle in this game has just become altiutuide advantage diving :/ Unless I'm japan then I can just do circles till I get a kill.
I got it. It’s great to have the turn time within the American tree on that. Only thing trouble is the nose mounted cannon it’s harder to hit shots but I found if you set the targeting convergence to 200m it can slap a plane in half at .30km
"You can't go wrong with it" I did. I was determined to be good with the Bf 109 F-4, and then decided "Well, I suck with this plane, but I'm going to practice, and I'm going to suck with bonuses." It turns out no matter how many 109 F-4s I have, it's crap in my hands.
We all have those types of experiences, for me I suck at pretty much any heavy fighter or naval plane. I should probably just practice them but well... that's effort.
I wouldnt recommend this plane to anyone. Its the exact same as the free German tech tree version and now its on USA teams that have the lowest win rate at that BR level
You could recommend it someone who loves German fighters but wants to get something specific later in the USA tree. Yes it's a copy and paste but it can still have its use
This seems to be a decently modern, effective, and pretty cost-effective jet. It can wreak havoc on the enemy if the air superiority is achieved by high-end jets.
Jf17 thunder jet fighter is the correct need for Pakistan, it does the work requirement for the needs of Pakistan regarding its geographical location and the defence needs are fully met by the Jf17 thunder fighter jet that's why this plane is most suitable from any other fighter jet
Some facts about JF17 - 1) Dubai 2021, LIMA 2019, Bahrain 2016. Each time the Indian Tejas participated in an air show, the Pakistani team cancelled their JF17 participation, ceded participation fee and ran away 2) The manufacturing country China does not use jf17 and only exports it to poor countries 3) Even after buying 150 of these jf17 the Pakistan Air Force still relies mainly on their old American f16 and has also started buying Chinese J10 fighter, acknowledging their dissatisfaction with this junk jf17 4) The jf17 block 1 and 2 do not have AESA radar, no in flight refueling, only two dimensional fly by wire, all metal body causing high weight, low thurst weight ratio, older electronics and only Chinese weapons to fire 5) The new block 3 jf17 variant has a cheaper air cooled AESA radar unable to operate at max power and hence lower range. Further, block 3 retains the same old Russian rd93 based engines, uses pod based electronic warfare as well as same metal body and cheap build quality as older block 1 & 2 6) JF17 does not have sensor fusion capability and nor any active/shape stealth features to cater to the advancements in technology for going beyond the fourth generation of fighter aircrafts 7) The all metal airframe has poor manufacturing quality resulting in an availability of approx 40% for Pakistan Air Force The performance and reliability of jf17 is so bad that both export customers, Myanmar as well as Nigeria air forces have grounded this aircraft The availability numbers of Pakistani jf17 are mostly hidden by Pakistan Air Force, but Myanmar and Nigerian air forces are more vocal about their dissatisfaction. Great bird in dcs tho, and the engines are based of the rd33, the ones used in the MiG 29😉. If I’m not mistaken the block 3 gets a 3 axis fbw, and irst, it also uses more composite material reducing weight as you mentioned, and it also gets the ws 13 engine increasing thrust. Honestly not bad for a bird built to be affordable among the 4th gens
As you said the hal tejas is simply superior to the jf17 but considering the shitty situation of Pakistan they didn’t do a half bad job at making an affordable fighter. And also from what I can gather, Nigeria didn’t have any complaints about the jf17, only Myanmar did
Pakistan Airforce have one of the best fighter jet in the world the jf17 thunder, no other fighter jet can match the effectiveness of this fighter plane
@@zuliali8098 f15,f16,f18,su27/30/35,eurofighter typhoon,rafale,gripen. Don’t get me wrong the jf17 is a wonderful bird, but it was designed to be a more affordable and some corners had to be cut. But for it’s price it gets the job done wonderfully.
If Ive seen this video before buying the f-16 as my first module i would have 100% bought this instead, the weapons it can carry seems waaay better than the f-16 for A-G while still beeing able to stand its ground for A-A. Probably will be my next module, ty for the video!
@@Ayden_oh_no Yeah but it lowkey feels a bit limited on what it can achieve for A-G due to its fuel capacity and variety of weapons it can use (personally it probably is because i love laser guided rockets)
2:34 Nice attention to detail here. The JF-17 is a Pakistani jet fighter, and the Pakistani establishment's biggest enemy is the Pakistani population. Therefore, they are more likely to target Pakistan's civilian targets. In this video, it shows the missile targeting a civilian plane.
If you get into a low speed dogfight disable efcs from auto and you'll become a helicopter but this should be done at 120~kts and below, otherwise you cant pull as much so efcs auto and direct link always on in dogfight situation. remember to set engine to cmbt on the bottom left panel by engine start for maximum performance, and don't be afraid of a dogfight, 1v1 against a hornet will be much easier as you outrate it and beat it in the one circle and you'll beat it extra using the helli trick I talked about earlier.
With structural deficiencies causing an availability rate below 40% even the Chinese don’t use it and only export to poor countries.
