This is what the guys in the back should be doing. Cyclocross is dying. Some races in Belgium have very few fans showing up when the big guys like Van Aert and Van Der Poel aren't competing. I don't get why the other don't put up more of a show. Who cares if they are 5th or 8th. Nobody wants to see that. If I were 5 places behind MVDP, I wouldn't care about my result. I would be doing manuals, popping wheelies, giving high fives, ... put on a show for the crowd. Now only Van Aert and Van Der Poel are interesting to watch. But the other guys... just boring to watch. The camera guy doesn't even film them. They would get more exposure on tv if they were popping wheelies in the back of the race than when they are struggling to keep their 5th or 6th place.
