amazed to learn it got introduced in Australia .It peaked my interest learning about their current whereabouts which had me typing sambars in aus on search.The results had all of them being hunted by human. The thumbnails ranged from people holding up the Sambar's limbs , gut etc ..you get the point. Nonetheless it got me surprised for a second time within a few minutes.
Really good one guys.❤. i have been watching all your videos. You are covering all endangered and largely unknown animals.. That's great. I would like to give you a suggestion. It would be more nice if you add audio presentation( like someone speaking about the animal) . It would make it more interactive.
@aristotels_aristotals, not anymore, that is outdated information, there are now 72 extant genera of bovids and the Bos genus is polyphyletic, there are now only two extant species in the genus: the Paleotropical Aurochs (Bos namadicus (cladistically including the Zebu (Bos namadicus indicus) and the Sanga (Bos namadicus africanus))) and the Palearctic Aurochs (Bos primigenius (cladistically including the Taurine Ox (Bos primigenius taurus) and the Mandarin Ox (Bos primigenius mandarinus))), thus restricting the Bos genus only to the aurochsen while the gaur, banteng, kouprey, and yak are all removed from the Bos genus, the gaur, banteng, and kouprey are all moved to the genus Bibos with their scientific names now being Bibos gaurus, Bibos javanicus, and Bibos sauveli respectively while the yak now belongs to the monotypic genus Poephagus with its scientific name now being Poephagus grunniens As far as told, the genera Bibos and Poephagus are not closely related to aurochsen (genus Bos) at all, the latter is now widely accepted to be more closely related to the bison (genus Bison) while the former is now widely accepted to be the most basal and distantly related from all the other four extant genera of the subtribe Bovina (True Cattle)
