After over a year of uploading one video a week, this started to seem more like a chore for me, and I started to feel some of the fun drained out of the experience of making RU-vid videos for you. Instead of letting this be a weekly task, I am choosing to reel it in a little and make videos as I have opportunities. I hope y'all understand I want to make the best content for you and don't want to throw something together because I'm on a self-imposed deadline to get one video out weekly.

I play with my wether as well because he is our only goat & we are his herd. He plays like this as well, but I put my foot up & he will butt the bottom of my foot. (His horns hurt my hands lol). His behavior issue is that when anyone that isn't me or my boyfriend try to touch him he swing his head & tries to hook them with his horns. Any suggestions on correcting this behavior? (We take him places with us a lot & would like him to be more accepting of other people being near him)
Disbudding is HORRIBLE, I am so glad you won't do that again. I have a rescue goat that I've had since he was a few days old & watched videos of people using the hot iron on the babies & it was so sad.
The end of this video just cracked me up. My neighbors must think Im nuts..I was laughing hysterically...and not very quietly. Those goats arevery mischievous!!!
So awesome I have my first goat an he is training me lol.He looked up at a branch with leaves on it then looked at me an back at the limb So I broke a little limb off an he was wagging his tail an now he does it a lot .I have got him to walk on a leash around the yard . I'm new to goats so I can use all the help I can get
I am glad I came across your video. It is hard to find anyone with common sense letting you know how to stop your rams from hitting you. I recently acquired 7 sheep. 5 ewes and 2 rams. They are Katadin hair sheep. Only one of the rams wants to constantly hit me. I found that using a loud stern voice will stop him dead in his track and will also run away. Thanks for the advice using common sense.
Man that was awesome! I oncenhadbanpetsimmonneating contestnwith a pig. And unbelievably the pig walked away also. Maybe he heard your black hole comment and didn't want to be a glutton😂. I would say you would have had to eat three more to win. Yet you could have kept going and win. Rematch. Yet i think it would be better if you don't hold any and just let him eat. I was so surprised when he stopped. Maybe he felt upset stomach eating so many cores and thought he should quit. Eating the hay be something to settle stomach. Super interesting video.
You did a great job! I have floating shelves that are of course adhered to a stud. I’d like to put up a library ladder, but not sure it can hold the weight. Any suggestions?
I just found you on YT and appreciate your videos. I too think it's cruel to take their horns off and I'm glad my goats still have theirs. I got them when they were about 6 months old. I've trained them a little bit but will keep working with them.
Love it! Do you share plans for your barn build? Or do you know a good resource for finding them? I'm moving from the city to a rural area and taking my two Nigerian Dwarfs with me and I will need to build them a shelter. I'm in the process of planning ahead and trying to estimate costs.
No needle ...I know that pain all too well... my father had to break mine open on my knee when i was a kid. It makes you feel so weak, 8ncluding the bladder...
Love the vid. I had a wether who became very “butty” despite my best efforts, squirt bottle, flip him over and hold him down until he was calm, that would work for a few days then I’d have to do it again. ☹ Anyway, one thing I believe is to not use the horns to control the animal. What’s your take on this? Do you hold animals by their horns? Thanks for great vid, new subscriber.
I don’t have enough words to articulate how charmed I am 🥹 my goat is 250 lbs so I never play like this with him, now I’m wondering if he feels like he’s missing out
