It’s already dead, the reason it’s moving is because snakes have such low metabolism that after death they can still have physical reactions due to their nervous system, fish are the same way.
Thats a normal case when a snake doesn't have a head you have to broke the entire body so that snake not suffer from the pain btw the body still moving because a muscle memory
