It just depends on your setup, weight and how you want it to act. I haven’t been in rc for a few years other than scale crawling so I haven’t messed with it.

Very good explanation imho! Other resources I found didn't mention the influence of the link positon on axle rotaion. This makes it much easier to understand, at least for me.
Nice video gave me some good info gotta question I've seen two 4 link lay outs as links go one as you have and 90% do is top links centre on the diff and outer on the chassis but the flip side is out by the wheels and very centred on the chassis does this make a difference at all
I see. Someone else mentioned that, given the right conditions, you could pivot doing this. I suspect it would take some slippery terrain, like smooth concrete or something.
