Hello, and thank you for your message. This channel has been dormant for quite some time now, but I do occasionally get people messaging me with comments like yours, and I do really appreciate it. I don't really have the time to fiddle around with video editing any more, and in any case the science/skepticism community - as well as RU-vid content as a whole - has evolved in the past 10+ years in a way that means this kind of material wouldn't have much of a place. Still I am proud of the stuff I put out, and glad there are people who enjoy it.
I saw this video years and years ago and it still sits at the back of my mind. Gives me incredible nostalgia to better times when i started watching youtube.

do you still have the video titled something like "You Are Here" and it shows life on earth with that cool modern classical music while showing footage of life on earth like autumn woods and the bald eagle? i love that music and can't find it anywhere..

this.... is a relic of it's time. and i am surprised it has been untouched for the most part, as this video was linked in an assignment in a school and it is only a miracle how it hasn't been vandalized by people with nothing better to do.

Yes, micro evolution is a thing, its called adapting to the environment, macro evolution is a nice kabbalistic new age fantasy spread by occultists disguised as "natural philosophers". Nobody cares about the fact that Darwin was a freemason like his father? Not even after seeing his most famous picture making the handsign of the sign of silence and secrecy? @@THUTH-ix3tt Honestly though, this vid is saying that all of us have a common ancestor, but all of our common ancestors are not the same common ancestor. The common ancestor of a dog is a dog. The common ancestor of a bird, is a bird. The common ancestor of a human being, is a human being. There is adaptation, which in many cases can be perceived as evolution, but adapting to one's environment is not evolution. Microevolution, is the change in one single species/kind/etc, while it still remains the same species. As the video stated. Yes evolutionary processes do occur in species/kinds/etc., BUT they still remain the same. Like how some dogs may have short hair and some with long, but it's still. A. Dog. It's not a cat, it's not a Hamster, it's not a mushroom. It's still a dog. Macro evolution is the change from one to a completely different one, like from a whale to a horse, or a gerbil to a mouse. That is unscientific. And saying that over a long time if MICROevolution will turn a dog into a cat, that's not how that works. When Darwin saw that the finches had different beaks, he said "EVOLUTION", But even if it was evolution, it would have been micro, not macro, and it also would have most likely been adaptation. There is still no evidence whatsoever for Macroevolution, and you can not say that "many years of micro will cause macro", if that was the case, a dog would have produced a cat by now. But rather, All of our common ancestors are what we are today. They may have looked different, but with adaptation and MICRO evolution, we look how we do today, but THEY WERE STILL HUMAN BEINGS, so we are still human beings. With dogs, the ancestor was dogs, so today, they are still dogs. Simple as that.
