1. Beta needs to put kyb suspension on all there bikes across the board. 2. Farm out the plastics to Aceribes. I wouldnt buy any bike with ZF suspension components!
Beta really needs to dump the ZF junk suspension components. Every manufacturer that tried single function forks have switched back and for a reason. ZF is 5 years behind in suspension technology. Not to mention poor quality. Beta what the hell are you doing?
They are starting to make these bikes worse by the looks of it, and once you put a set Dal Soggio forks on your Beta you could never settle for suchs suspension no matter how much they revamp them. I also preferred the 22 model engines over the 23. I have had to do a fair bit of work to make my 23 models perform the way I want it to. I hope a test ride can change my mind but I don't see the new changes since 2022 as upgrades unfortunately.
If conventional zf forks were garbage, just imagine with this system, wich wp, after so many years and all the resources in the world cant make it work
Thanks for the reply. Can you confirm exactly how they got the 20 mm lower seed height? Is it an internal suspension adjustment, frame change, or something to do with the mounting position of the shock? Thank you.
The axle mounting.location on the fork, and a shortened suspension on the rear shock stroke. This has the benefit of a slightly shortened wheelbase so it feels more flickable, and has better turning radius than the previous models. This is a do it all bike. Lower CG is the shit, and Beta is starting to figure it out. Lower the pegs, and with the almost extra inch of seat height will be same as the previous versions inseam, but will rail corners better. Small improvements. Excepting the frame top tube width, that was a major strength improvement.
Why not one spring and one air fork. I’ve done this on my two previous WR 450’s to make them more compliant for technical enduro. Works well. Not required on my 2023 Beta 300 RR though.
just the spring itself. one spring is 25% light than 2 springs. meaning that specific one spring is heavier than any one of the springs of 2 spring model.
It's a shame there wasn't much coverage on Beta's debut at Anaheim. I'm hoping they put some effort into marketing this bike. It looks great and has a solid heritage.
