haha. Probably due to me using poor units. Competitive lists don't really use blocks of Freeguild Guard when Longbeards or Phoenix Guard are just better anvils. From the limited lists I have seen at events, Demigryph Knights are never used, but I really like my proxies for them.
Tried Bestigor in two games so far. They can be very destructive when buffed up, and tend to stick around longer. I'll try throwing them in a few more games!
Some mistakes in there. Not sure how BoC keep doing 2 heroic actions when going first, maybe you misspoke. Then you did the tactic to kill with a ritual and failed to do so but killed the model with archers and still took credit for the points.
If BoC did do two heroic actions when going first then I messed up there. I was trying to explain the turns in more detail this time around and mentioned heroic actions of the other faction as well. The Reduced to Savagery BoC battle tactic doesn't need to have the Ritual of Ruin destroy the target. Just that a picked enemy unit needs to be targeted by a Ritual of Ruin and be destroyed that turn. The Warping Curse is a good one for this, but Blood Taunt would also work if you destroy the unit before the end of the turn.
Sure thing. Been trying to come up with a method to do this that I like and haven't settled with one yet. In the mean time, I threw the lists in the description!
This one was due to poor deployment of SC. I should have screened the Stardrake with the two units I deployed over to the side and castled a bit more until turn 3 for SC. I am starting to believe that for a SC vs BoC matchup, it is really about weathering the Beast's alpha, but I might be wrong. *shrug*
I think BoC are a hard matchup for Stormcast because SCE is at such a body disadvantage. It's hard to say without seeing the lists, but Bullgors are great hammers and SCE will HATE their Mortal wounds output.
I underestimated the BoC when preparing and brought a somewhat ok SC list. The bullgors killing the dragons turn one threw me for a loop and got rid of a lot of the SC mobility.
Normally I am not a big fan of handheld footage, but you somehow make it intresting and fun to watch. Loving the huge amout of BoC-games <3 Glad I found your channel.
