Im part of the amazon vine reviewer program and its not exactly "free" since the value of every item gets reported to the IRS as income tax, that can add up quickly
I’m a Canadian 🙌🏽🇨🇦🙌🏽 Viner, we pay no taxes on vine items, unlike our American counterparts who are taxed based on the state they live in. I know the UK 🇬🇧 does not pay taxes on vine items as well. Vine is very secretive akin to the illuminati 😂
Hi, so my question is if I have a product with a logo and design that I came up with but it’s not registered or trademark can I still sell it on Amazon?
Anyone with some common sense and basic grasp of psychology will avoid a product with great reviews generated from free products. The psychology of leaving a review for something you got for free is completely different and cannot be deemed credible , i don't care what anybody says contrary to that , it's just true. What business brain at Amazon thought of this disaster ?
It works to an extent. People don’t quite understand what the vine program even is so most just glance over it. Some don’t even look to see if they are verified or not
It may be true for some people, but that's not entirely true at all. I even use to feel the same way myself about Vine reviews and wouldn't even read them, until I actually became a Vine reviewer. If it's a bad product I will absolutely wreck that thing in the review and I always give my true feelings whether good, bad or indifferent. A lot of sellers will even say that they feel that Vine reviewers are more critical and picky that an average person. We go into more detail of the product and will point out a lot more than an average person, which is supposed to be our purpose. However there are definitely people in the program, and I see them all the time myself, that write reviews that sound like a hyped up robotic infomercial. The easiest way to look at them is if the reviewer talks in a normal and relaxed way in the review, then you can trust them. If the review is written like a professional infomercial script, then I would ignore the sh!t out of it.
Hi, I'm a US citizen. but I don't want to have my mailing address and phone number publicly viewable. in that case can I get a PO box address or something like that and use it? similarly can I use google voice number instead of my cell number? and lets say I sell yoga mats. in that case what class would it be to trademark? only 'mats'? or 'yoga mats'? can I trademark 'home and kitchen' class (🤓) that might cover all items under that niche that I would be selling in amazon? (don't want to spend $250 for all item types under that niche)
That’s a lot of questions my friend. I suggest you rewatch the video. Also all of these requirements are listed on their site. We can’t be sure of some of the above so the best route is to confirm on their site.
You can. But if the trademark owner is a non us resident you will unfortunately need an attorney to help with the process. Not legal advise but what we’ve seen
Hey my dude have one more question lol, I trademark a word text am I able to make a design out of it like put images of candys and cookies with my word text will Amazon brand registry approve that or it just has to be the word text ? i’ve been looking all over the Internet. I can’t find an answer to this. Appreciate you helping me out.
Amazon brand registry is looking for that number that the uspto provides. They don’t care as much about the photos like they would for example for brand approval. As long as you go through the uspto step, you should be ok with brand registry.
I am going to lose my s*** It keeps asking me for a two step identification id I put it in and no mater what it says I have an account already. I fixed that but I can’t get back in to application. Iv spent all day and still no luck getting in.
Accountants can typically get this done for Pennie’s on the dollar. This is why I ask. You can do it yourself but there is a reason why legal zoom is popular.
If I have a single-member LLC (with a P.O. address), can I file it myself or do I need an attorney? I reside outside the USA. Thank you for your time and dedication. You have a new subscriber :)
Unfortunately I believe that even if the address is in the us , you still have to be a resident. I could be wrong but I recall that being an issue for one of our clients. You can try clicking through everything to see if it applies. It will stop you if it’s an issue.
I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, I am applying for brand registry through my original AmazonSeller account. Does that matter or do I have to make a new Amazon account for brand registry sorry for all the questions. Really appreciate it.
Okay minds is a little different on the last page it wants me to upload a sourcing/manufacturing/invoice with the brand name on it I watch every video on RU-vid and no one was this step on there brand registry don’t know if it’s something new ? I put I manufacture. My own product and they still want me to upload that document so I’m totally lost any help would be much appreciated !
That’s very odd. We did one of these on Thursday so the option hasn’t changed. Perhaps reach out to seller support and ask them why they are requiring it. You may be missing something or it could be something else.
@@skunklabs_official ya every video I seen don’t look like mines and on the 1st page of brand registry where you put your companies name it has two different places to upload a image the 1st is a image of your logo they want transparent image or the image on a white background then a little down on the page they want me to upload another one of the logo on the product or package, and it don’t ask me is my trademark pending just asked me am i the owner of the trademark and of course I put yes when I get home gonna go back in maybe the page is glitched or something. If not, then I have to call seller support thanks
I am holding Indian nationality can I file trademark in USPTO without having attorney or anyone in US. I don't have any contact and address in US. Plz guide
If I want to Open amazon account in USA for that I know I have to register LLC. Do I need a USA virtual address as well? Basically I'm from united kingdom.
Just found you great info man ! I had a question I been doing Amazon arbitrage for about 4 years now it’s been good but I’m ready to make my own brand, my question is I’m looking to make bundle packs for food items like snacks, candies things like that and have my own package with my trademark name, I’m just not 100% sure if that’s possible and it’s okay with Amazon policy, I mean I see a lot of bands on Amazon doing this selling big food brands and making bundles and putting it under their brand name, from what I been researching seems like it’s okay to do it as long as your buying from wholesalers which I will be doing, would like to get your in put on this seems like you know a lot about brand selling thanks !
There are a few ways to do this. You see this sometimes in the electronics niche when certain electronics stores sell their own bundles under their own brand name. What they do is use one of their own private label products as part of the bundle, which is how they make the main listing and then add items to it. The issue with this is it's very much a gray area. Amazon has allowed this to go on for a while now but it could be because they haven't really looked at it. What people are also doing, which is absolutely against amazon terms of service, is making generic listings to list brand name products as a workaround to un gating. Both of the above can be an issue long term. If you wanted to try out the private label route, perhaps simply make your own product that doesn't depend on a bundle from other brands.
@@skunklabs_official appreciate the rely gonna look into it, ya I never sold the generic listings and never will that I know for sure gos against Amazon and will get you into trouble, thanks !
Admitted to "cross contamination of inventory" (that's not what that term means, but anyway) and selling someone something that was different than the image and it's the consumer's fault? 🤔 Very weird behavior
The label had a word that was different. That is not selling the consumer something that was different. I assure you that said brand was well within its rights to sell a product that was not materially different. Also, why don’t you enlighten us of what your version of cross contamination is? Sounds like you’re an expert.
That's a you thing brother. Not to knit pick, but if you're really asking. Most owners give their dogs a bone as a "treat" to cause excitement, show love, affection, maybe least of most to distract. People will pick a bone that markets their pups loving it, over it being able to distract them AND they love it so much if that makes sense. Just an opinion. Now, if you marketed a time dispensed treat deployer that had a noise some time before releasing treats your dog loves AND marketed it in that way, sure. But the treats themselves, unlikely.
And to further expound, maybe frozen dog friendly peanut butter mats they can lick that stay in the freezer and are sold in five packs or such. Just ideas. Dog healthy, super cheap to produce, and is more the marketing style I believe you're talking about.
No it’s a marketing thing. It’s being real with the solution you offer. Yes we are being extreme with the dog bone. We all love our dogs. The video is about making a point and to make a point it needs to be a bit extreme and maybe even controversial. Thanks for commenting and for the feedback. It’s much appreciated.
