Love this journal. I have taken this idea and started to create a little memorial Journal ❤ I find images that relate to certain stories of our life together. It's been helping me a great deal. Grieving is difficult Thank you Vickie. Have a wonderful day!🤗
@@janetvisochi-baum7572 I know it's hard. I think doing a memory book, is a great idea. You should share this idea. There might be others grieving too but can't talk about it You never know what your subscribers are going through. It's a really good idea.
ok i absolutely love these Vickie - ever since i was a child i dreamed of having a "library" as one of my rooms - still do lol - thank you - love them!!!! xx
😮😮😮😂 Guess what I am doing today - I have done this with embossing plates for clay as well as stencils but never with stamps. Isn't that funny? Will be playing today. Thank you! Right now I am more interested in manipulating paper than creating embellishments 🙃 xx 8:58
@@janetvisochi-baum7572 Isn't this just the silliest thing? I never thought about doing this. Post on your FB page so I can see what you did. I can't wait to see!! 😍
@@franaschulte2815 I would think so but because of the stencil you might need to use something that is flexible so it goes below the stencil. Or maybe elevate your paper under the stencil so it sticks up a little bit above the stencil? Good question Frana!
Love the colors. Doesn't matter how much water -- you can see less water, darker colors, along with the length of time. Thought the baking soda on your first green sheet turned out really cool with all the bumps.
There is always loss of resolution when you scan. Don't be hard on your Epson for that. Also, you need a really good scanner (Epson) to get the best resolution. Photo Shop Elements can refine your colors even more with the filters and enhancements. Lazer color is good but still will have distortions in your colors, Any time you go from a original piece of work, scan it and print it out it will never be like the original
@@parsellart7805 Thank you for the information. It's good to know. My old HP printer with scanner did much better color after scanned, but used a ton of expensive cartridges. I guess I just have to weigh the issues.
@@MessyTableStudio I used to sell technology and I learned to match the brand of ink with the same brand of paper. They have been designed to give you the best results. Hp has a series of printers (8100) that use high capacity ink cartridges and I buy mine on Ebay as they are a third of the cost. Don't buy any knock offs just authentic cartridges. The printer will reject and not use knock offs. I was curious about your Epson tank printer. Does it save on ink like they advertise? Is it worth my buying one?
Fun, Vickie. Love the big fat marker. Some of the sticking could be cheap printer paper and also maybe too much paint. Try removing a tad more before you pull. The Apple Barrell do better for me than the fluid acrylics in pickup prints.
Thanks Janet. I got some really good pulls but the bad ones, were really bad. I need to condition my plate. It hasn't been used in eons. I have already covered stuff with the photocopies prints. Thanks for leaving a comment.
@@dolphintouchmichellepsychi6217 I filled journal with colored papers. I do love coffee dyed papers, but some times brown just won't do. Good luck on your paper dying journey. There are a million dye videos on RU-vid. You will learn so many techniques.
@@dolphintouchmichellepsychi6217 That's fabulous. I used to dye my own handspun yarn. I used Jacquard and it did well. Never used Kool Aid. Thanks for letting me know.
@@patticarey8415 I don't know. I have never tried it. If you try it let me know. I have had no luck with Geli plate photo transfers. I did a few but they did not go well
@@michellegratwick8780 I would love to but this video is six years old. I usually use a medium or high gloss paper from Kodac. I was given a bunch of random packets of paper as a gift from my niece that someone gave her. If I remember correctly the box came in sheets of 50. I think the box was an orange color? If I can find a box I will let you know the brand. Like I said this video is six years old and I may have used all that paper.
I bought some colored papers from Etsy a while back. I didn't see what method they had used but I noticed they smelled really good........I think the mystery is solved. I bet they were dyed with Kool-Aid. Love your light hearted approach and that laugh...I kept laughing along. Delightful!
@@Kat-gx3se I am all for paper that smells good. Lots of those fruit flavored drinks smell so good! Thanks for leaving a nice comment. I am totally a laugher. I laugh at the goofiest things. Sometimes my husband thinks I have lost my mind. I just laugh some more! Thank you so much!
This is so smart! I dyed a few strands of hair with red kool aid in high school and it was one of the best/longest lasting colored dyes in ny hair ever. So I can imagine it works great with paper! Thanks for the tip and the trip down memory lane 😊
@@katemcgough6237 I have never dyed my hair with Kool Aid but had friends who did. It does work great on hair as well as the paper. I don't dry my paper in the oven anymore. I am so afraid I will go off to do something and forget it. I air dry all my dyed papers now. I am sure the fire department and my insurance company are thrilled to know this. 😂 Thanks for leaving a comment.
