I´m just a messenger as a photographer and video artist. I know some of the musicians and want to pay my respect to those who stand up for other peoples rights. And Yes, it does matter. All history shows that. It is waist of time to argue with people who consequently define other people as stupid idiots just because the have other opinions and values than themselves.

Unfortunately there will always be people like catena92 who deny gays and lesbians any history - they are jealous of our cultural past from Shakespeare, Michelangeo, Tchaikovsky, the list goes on. It does matter to protest against the draconian laws in Russia and it's heartwarming to see it happening throughout the world. The russians have never liked being criticized from the outside and will always claim it has no effect. TIme will tell.

There is just no evidence that Tchaikovsky was gay. I've read the documents based research. As far as I understand, your information is based on andecdotes. What do I stil need to define? For to mark someone gay-producer you have to present a gay-production. it's your problem of definition. Calling Tch. a gay-composer isn't profesional from "top classical musicians." Thinking that Tch. was a gay or not doesn't make my life less comfortable. It's a question abouth truth, nothing more.

To catena92: I might possibly have taken you seriously if you had the balls to come forward with full name. Your comic anger doesn´t in any way affect me. I respect other peoples opinions if they are decently presented. But I don´t give much for people who show their cowardice behind a nickname - like a barking dog on a leash behind a fence. Instead I recommend that you find a very good cardiologist. You might need it quite rapidly.
