I think there are a few parts from the old one that were done so incredibly well, but it really is cool to see the improvement over the people who came back to redo their parts.
Imagine remaking a map for free and people just complain about it. Jesus Christ people. This new one is completely fine. Yall that are complaining are just entitled as shit.
it is so amazing and inspiring to see the improvements made over the years. One of the biggest things I noticed was the framing/camera movements. The experience the artists have gained have seriously improved the quality of the MAP
I love how not only the animators re-did their parts, but the thumbnail artist did a redraw of their thumbnail omg- My fav upgrades on little things the animators added in their new art that they didn't add in the previous one is...: 0:04 The curtain and spotlight 0:11 Fireheart comes out of nowhere and says, "It's a song!" and Sandstorm just shoves him away 0:15 *Graystripe has joined the chat* 0:28 This is just starting to become a compilation of when Fireheart comes in out of nowhere- 0:33 Sandstorm annoyed she keeps rhyming 0:39 Fireheart just vibin' to the music 0:53 Sandstorm defeats the main character ✨ EVEN PLOT ARMOR CAN'T SAVE HIM FROM THE QUEEN 1:19 It's either Fireheart pops out of nowhere and Sandstorm just tackles him to the ground at this point 😂 1:25 Fireheart has popped out of nowhere once again 1:39 Fireheart has sparkled himself 1:42 Fireheart making Sandstorm sing by singing, enjoying every second of it while Sandstorm is just annoyed 1:50 We just casually get picked up by Sandstorm 1:52 SPOTLIIIGGGHHHHTTTT (The animators did amazing with the spotlights) 2:00 Fireheart reached out for her to join him (Probably to never stop singing) 2:02 Sandstorm became a mood... I absolutely love these MAPs 2:11 THEY GOT MIC AND LIGHTS NOW!! 2:13 Fireheart annoying Sandstorm for the 8928714657813648751637485348752348765610847th time 2:16 CINDERPELT JUST GOT RAN OVER BY TIGERSTAR'S BIKE AND ACTED LIKE IT WAS JUST FINE- And last but not least.... EVERY SECOND OF THIS MAP! This is absolutely amazing and even after 7 months I come to this video because there is nothing better than watching a lovely MAP side by side with the re-animated and original... I LOVE THIS TOO MUCH I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU MILLIONS OF MORE LIKES- SAME WITH ALL THE ARTISTS... And it just warms my heart that the thumbnail artist even redrew their thumbnail for the redrawn MAP... this is amazing, and I just wish I could keep it-
The both animations are AMAZING!! Now pls don’t delete this, but I’m a sucker for the 2008-2012 style and the old one is a representation of it imo, so i personally like the style of the old one and the skill and improvement of the newer one. They both are good in their own ways.
I like a few parts of the OG more, mainly the little flower scene. I think that’s adorable. But it’s amazing to see how much talent these artists have. They’ve clearly grown so well and both versions are awesome. I don’t know why some people are hating on the new version. It’s different because they’ve grown and learned. Art styles change, new techniques are learned, and while it is always good to look at your past work with pride because it’s your best work of the time, it’s also super important to appreciate how far you’ve come. I’m a digital artist and while I love the artwork I made a few years ago and I do sell it on my website with pride, I still love seeing how much I’ve improved. It makes me proud and feel accomplished. Like my hard work was worth it. Like learning all of those techniques and shortcuts and skills was worth it. I’m proud of the steadier hand I’ve gotten, and seeing that I successfully learned how to make colors more appealing together, and doing better with shading to show light angles, and remaking my old art to fix the things I missed back then, and putting my new art style into those older works to make something new. I love seeing it all. And it would really hurt to see or hear people saying that my old work is better. Because that takes away some of the pride you have in your current work and how far you’ve come. It’s like “oh…I guess it’s not as good as I thought…I was so sure I did better. I put in so much time and work to do better. How does it sound like I went backwards?“ That’s really sucky to think. Both versions are amazing. They *are* different. But the reason they’re different is because artists change over time as they learn and experiment and go through trial and error with every art project they do. And we should celebrate that because releasing this is them saying “look at this. I’m so proud of the work we made together. I’m so proud that we were able to take something we’ve already done amazingly and make it newer and different and add more detail, movement, and depth. Isn’t this so cool?” The answer is yes! It is extremely cool to see! That’s what we should be telling them! 🩵 From one artist to several others: I’m so sorry to those of you who were told anything negative. You all did amazing in both versions of the video. Don’t let the haters get you down. It’s clear that you’ve grown, changed your art styles a bit, learned from the past couple years, and are proud of where you’re at now. As you should be. Keep up the amazing work and I can’t wait to see what you all create next 🩵
I really like the improvement i should really do a 4 year comparsion on the anniversary of my channel and actually fix my channel and upload pff hopefully this sparks enough spark to actually do it 😅
