Nobody shows how to use a chop with a song. Its making me a chopless wonder. I can do chop but need direction on how to put into use. I understand muscle memory but I need feel for when to do it, not how.
Maybe if I were in the same room, I could hear a difference, but I couldn't really over a high fidelity digital speaker set attached to my computer. Having said that, I'm getting old and am pretty far along on my guitar playing journey. I only buy solid wood instruments now and one of my favorite guitars is a 2012 Eastman.
I'm much happier with my now 1 year old new OB-3RF than I was with my new RB-500 back in the mid 70's. That old Gibson was so poorly fit and finished. The only question in my mind about this Gold Tone OB-3RF is how it will hold up after 30 more years. I'm thinking it will grow in value.
Hard case always. Think about it you rather have a soft case that will fail you or hard case to help you for sure everytime. They might cost more but they last and will protect your guitar on the long run.
Have to admit...my 3 year old HD28 is incredible. My guitar tech who is an authorized Martin repair told me that guitar is one of the best he's seen. Sounds like a grand piano. I got lucky he told me.
I stopped here this monday and was totally impressed with this place and the friendly staff and excellent instruments. Couldn't have felt more welcome like home, I hated to leave. I'm looking forward to another visit next time I'm in the area 👍👍👍
By The Way, Ordered the Custom Boucher through you guy's. Absolutely LOVE IT. Thank you all for the great service, ordering process, follow up.. Scary, ordering a guitar that you never played. Acoustic Shoppe.. Good job.
Please tell the boys I bought my toneslab 1.2 from Corey. Excellent customer service by the way. After a few days I was able to determine having played many boutique picks, Blue Chip is still my #1. Just has great playability, feel and tone. At least I tried toneslab.
Hmm. I like the sound of them all and did think the A style projected more bass. Now I’m building an A style mostly because that’s the plan I have but I also was gifted The Ultimate Bluegrass Mandolin Construction Guide by Roger Siminoff after I was already committed to the A style. I found it interesting how the size of the apertures/F-holes affects tone and it’s actually backwards from what I assumed smaller apertures for more bass larger for more treble. So would the A styles be able to have their apertures enlarged to accentuate more high end? Fun stuff.
9 years ago I bought a used Fender A style. The quality was poor, but I couldn't play anyway, and as far as mandolins were concerned, I didn't know a pig from a pickle. The point is, $150 got me started. I'm hoping to upgrade to a mid level. Great Video!!!
